  • Patent number: 8942065
Abstract: In a method and a device for determining the position of an object in relation to a vehicle, for use in a driver assistance system of the vehicle, a first ultrasound pulse is transmitted by an ultrasound sensor situated on the vehicle, the ultrasound pulse including multiple predefined transmission frequencies which result in a variation of the directional characteristic of the ultrasound sensor. The transmitted first ultrasound pulse is reflected on the object and is received again as a first echo pulse. A frequency spectrum of the first echo pulse is subsequently determined, and a first absolute value of a relative offset angle of the object is determined as a function of the frequency spectrum of the first echo pulse and the directional characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20130312525
Abstract: A method for acoustically sensing an area is described. An acoustic transmit pulse is transmitted into the area by an acoustic transducer and a received signal is acquired with the aid of the transducer, in order to receive the transmit pulse reflected back from the area. Within a post-pulse oscillation time of the transducer, which directly follows the emission of the transmit pulse, the actual phase response of the received signal is determined. In the event the actual phase response deviates from a predefined setpoint phase response, an object is detected within the area. Also described is a device for acoustically sensing an area, which is designed to carry out the method.

Abstract: A laminate and method for producing the laminate are provided for contacting at least one electronic component. An insulating layer is laminated between first and second metal layers electrically contacted to each other in at least one contact region. At least one recess in the contact region is generated with at least one embossing and/or bulging in the first metal layer. The distance between the two metal layers is reduced, such that dimensions of the embossing/bulging are sufficient for taking up the electronic component, which is inserted and connected into the embossing/bulging in a conductive manner therein. The electronic component is taken up in the embossing/bulging entirely with respect to its circumference and at least partly with respect to the height (H) of the electronic component. The laminate may be used as a circuit board, sensor, LED lamp, mobile phone component, control, or regulator.

  • Publication number: 20130214918
Abstract: A method and device for vehicle-supported object detection. A pulse is emitted into the surroundings using a transducer situated in a vehicle, and the pulse, which is reflected back by an object in the surroundings, is recorded using the transducer. The transducer and the object move relative to each other. The emission and/or the recording are carried out according to a directional characteristic of the transducer, which has at least two directional lobes. Signal components of the reflected pulse, which have different frequency shifts, are separated from one another on the basis of the frequency shift or are assigned to respectively one of the directional lobes. An object detection is carried out in each case for the different signal components and the assigned directional lobes.
