  • Patent number: 12061248
Abstract: An apparatus for fabricating non-planar coils includes a rotating table driven by a first motor; a wire approach height adjustment arm driven by a second motor; and a synchronization module configured such that a wire traversing from the height adjustment arm to a bobbin on the rotating table passes into a non-planar groove cut in the bobbin without damaging the wire. Performing magnetic resonance (MR) measurements includes a plurality of coil units configured for generating a gradient or shim magnetic field. The coil unit includes a plurality of coil windings, and each coil winding is separated longitudinally from an adjacent coil winding. A single pair of electrically conducting leads is configured to cause current to flow through all of the plurality of coil windings in the coil unit. Techniques include methods to fabricate and operate the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20240253039
Abstract: An acoustofluidic device and a method for trapping particles with a positive acoustic contrast contained in a moving carrier fluid are disclosed. The device has a first channel channeling the moving carrier fluid and a second channel. The first channel and a portion of the second channel parallel to the first channel are separated by a common separating wall. A driving circuitry driving an acoustic transducer is configured to drive the latter at a frequency at which an acoustic radiation force is generated on the particles in the first channel that points towards a displacement antinode of a vibrational eigenmode of the separating wall, while at least two counter-rotating streaming vortices are formed by the moving carrier fluid which, in combination with the acoustic radiation force, form a particle trap at said displacement antinode of the eigenmode.

  • Patent number: 11763803
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system, method, and computer program for extracting utterances corresponding to a user problem statement in a conversation between a human agent and a user. The system obtains a set of utterances from a natural language conversation between the human agent and the user. The system uses a problem-statement classifier to obtain machine-generated predictions as to whether each natural language utterance in the set relates to a problem statement. The system selects one or more utterances from the set as corresponding to a problem statement based on the predictions. The system provides the selected utterances to a downstream system for further processing. In certain embodiments, the problem statement classifier includes an encoder that creates an utterance embedding for each utterance and a prediction module that uses the utterance embeddings to predict whether each utterance corresponds to a user problem statement.

  • Publication number: 20170082820
Abstract: An optical component mount system which includes an optical mount having at least one mount body. At least one optical component receiver may be formed on the mount body. The optical component receiver may be configured to receive at least one optical component therein. In addition, at least one coupling extension extends from the optical mount body. The coupling extension includes at least one coupling receiver formed therein. The coupling receiver is configured to receive at least a portion of at least one optical rail body therein. In one embodiment, the coupling receiver and optical component receiver are co-aligned along a common longitudinal axis of the optical mount.

  • Patent number: 7060888
Abstract: A pivoting electromagnetic pickup device is provided. The invention generally is comprised of an elongated support structure, an electromagnetic pickup, a pivoting means, and an angular position locking means. The extremity of the elongated support structure is pivotally attached to the front face of an electric guitar or electric base body, between the front face and the strings, restricting its movement to a curvilinear path substantially normal to the axis of rotation and substantially parallel to the plane of the strings. The pickup is mounted to the elongated support structure, between the elongated support structure and the strings. Attaching the elongated support structure to the guitar body in a pivotal relationship is the pivoting means. The angular position locking means can be engaged to continuously vary the resistance to angular motion, from no resistance to maximum resistance, where the elongated support structure is substantially locked to a chosen angular position.
