Abstract: A method of monitoring, via a temperature sensor, a temperature of a container that stores an item. There is a first step of periodically measuring the temperature of the interior compartment of the container, and the first step occurs while the container is stationary. Subsequently, there is a second step of periodically measuring the temperature of the interior compartment of a container, and the second step occurs while the container is being transported by a vehicle to a destination. Subsequently, there is a third step of periodically measuring the temperature of the interior compartment, and the third step occurs after the container has been delivered to the destination and while the container is stationary. In addition the method includes periodically transmitting information comprising the measured temperatures from the first, second, and third steps to a server, and storing the measured temperatures.

Abstract: A system include a server configured to: receive a request from a computing device to unlock a delivery box; determine whether the request is authenticated; and send an unlock signal to the delivery box in response to the request being authenticated, such that when the unlock signal is sent to the delivery box, the delivery box is remotely unlocked in response thereto. The delivery box may include a container comprising an interior configured to hold an item; an access door configured to close the container; a system configured to be activated to disinfect/sanitize the interior. The controller is connected to a network and a user is configured to control the controller over the network.

Abstract: A water treatment apparatus that includes: at least one module which operatively and selectively treats one or both of an original household hot water received from the household hot water line and water flowing through the module and treats cold water received from an original household cold water line that flows through; a process control unit whereby a user selects a desired treatment option for the water flowing through the apparatus to be dispensed to the user; one or more plumbing connections which operatively divert the original household hot and cold water flow to the user selected water treatment module so as to dispense to the user the selected treated water; and one or more valves which operatively cooperate with the process control unit to direct the water flow within the apparatus so as to provide the user with the selected treated water.

Abstract: In various example embodiments, systems and methods for mobile to mobile remote control are presented. A control request may be received at a client device from a control device. The control device and the client device may be in communication with a network. The client device may determine an authorization for the control device in response to receiving the control request. Based on the determined authorization, a data link may be established between the client device and the control device using a control device identifier. The data link may allow the exchange of information between the client device and the control device without an intermediate network node. The client device may receive a command request from the control device via the data link. The command request may be initiated by a control user of the control device.
