  • Publication number: 20190375614
Abstract: An illustrative example device for installing portions of a passenger conveyor includes a base configured to be situated in a selected position on at least one of the passenger conveyor steps. A template supported on the base includes at least one balustrade position indicator situated at a preselected angle relative to the base. The balustrade position indicator defines an installation position for a balustrade supporting component of a passenger conveyor. The installation position establishes a lateral and vertical position of the balustrade supporting component relative to the at least one of the steps.

  • Patent number: 10227214
Abstract: An illustrative example passenger conveyor skirt panel mounting assembly includes a first bracket that is configured to be secured to a truss. A second bracket is configured to support a skirt panel. The second bracket is selectively secured in place relative to the first bracket in a second bracket position that establishes a skirt panel position. An eccentric adjustment member is eccentrically moveable to cause an adjustment of the second bracket position.

  • Patent number: 8500594
Abstract: A differential assembly and method of manufacturing such an assembly are provided. A method for manufacturing a differential assembly includes forming a first portion of a differential carrier; forming a second portion of the differential carrier; securing the first portion to the second portion to form the differential carrier; forming a differential housing; and securing the differential carrier to the differential housing to form a differential assembly. A sintering process may be used to form the first portion and second portion of the differential carrier, and the first and second portions may be secured together by a brazing process. The forming of the first and second portions of the differential carrier and the securing of the first and second portions to form a differential carrier may be achieved by a sinter-brazing process.

  • Publication number: 20060276294
Abstract: A powertrain includes a continuously variable transmission having a starting mechanism, a continuously variable unit (CVU), and a pair of planetary gear arrangements. The continuously variable transmission also includes a plurality of torque transmitting mechanisms which are selectively engageable in combinations of two to establish a reverse mode of operation between the starting mechanism and a transmission output shaft, a low direct mode of operation, an intermediate split mode of operation, and a high split mode of operation.

  • Publication number: 20050249622
Abstract: A device for reducing parasitic loss of a fluid pump is accomplished by connecting the power supply driveshaft to the drive pump element through a clutch element. The clutch element engages the drive pump element and frictionally engages the driveshaft so that at or above a predetermined fluid pressure, the clutch element releases the driveshaft so the driveshaft rotates within the clutch element thereby halting the pumping action of the pump. When the fluid pressure drops below a predetermined fluid pressure, the clutch element reengages the driveshaft to resume the pumping action.
