  • Patent number: 7104874
Abstract: A sharpening apparatus for razors includes a blade sharpener rotatably supported within a housing and driven by mechanical activation or by a motor. An opening in the housing provides access to the blade sharpener for a blade head of a razor containing one or more blades. The rotatably supported blade sharpener includes at least one flexible sharpening strip on a body, the sharpening strip presenting an abrasive outer surface for contacting the blades. The sharpening apparatus can also include a spring loaded clamping plate for retaining the blade head in the opening.

Abstract: A sharpening apparatus for razors includes a blade sharpener rotatably supported within a housing and driven by a motor. An opening in the housing provides access to the blade sharpener for a blade head of a razor containing one or more blades. The rotatably supported blade sharpener includes at least one sharpening element on a body, the sharpening element presenting an abrasive outer surface for contacting the blades. The body may be a carrier and the sharpening element may be abrasive rods located in channels in the carrier. The body is rotatably supported by a shaft. The housing may include a removable guide frame including an opening and having rim walls adjacent the opening for positioning the blade head. The body may also include a polishing material.

  • Patent number: 5921169
Abstract: An improved low-cost and high efficiency automatic baking apparatus for bread or cake having a non-removable baking container in which there is provided a stirring blade for ingredients mixing or dough kneading, the baked product can be retrieved from the baking container by a retrieving device which has a base portion and an arm portion, the base portion is placed below the stirring-blade and is adapted to receive the bulk of the baked product, part of the arm portion is exposed from the baked product so that the base portion can be removed by lifting the exposed portion of the handle, significant reduction in material and process costs is obtained since the built-in baking container eliminate the need of an extra shielding wall between the baking container and the heating elements.

  • Patent number: 4516813
Abstract: A cabinet door in its closed position depends from the cabinet top wall and is coupled to a follower slidably engaging a longitudinal track on the top wall underface so that the door may be swung upwardly open and retracted into the cabinet. The follower and track have longitudinal races embracing retainer holding balls. The coupling mechanism includes an anchor on the door having transversely spaced first and second hinge pins and a bracket on the follower having third, fourth and fifth transversely spaced hinge pins and links extending between the first and third and second and fourth hinge pins and a leaf spring extending between the second and fifth hinge pins so that the door is swingable between a closed position perpendicular to the top wall and an open position parallel to and below the top wall and when approaching closed position is spring urged to close. Alternatively, the track and anchor positions are reversed so that the door in its open position overlies the top wall.

  • Patent number: 4145093
Abstract: A ball bearing roller assembly for extensible draw tracks and the like includes a plastic roller having a bore with an annular race terminating at its rear end in a resilient releasable retainer lip and at proximate its forward end in a peripheral inside flange. A steel core coaxially registers with the roller and has a cylindrical outer race terminating at its forward end in a converging arcuate face and a coaxial stub projects rearwardly from the core. Bearing balls are entrapped between the races are impeded from forward movement and releasably restricted from rear movement by the resilient lip. A mounting plate includes a centrally apertured raised circular section abutting the core rear face with the stub engaging the aperture and being upset to lock the assembly and lock the balls against rearward release.

  • Patent number: 4077677
Abstract: A drawer slide assembly includes a channel shaped track member having formed in the side webs proximate one end of the track member a pair of longitudinal slots adjacent to the track member cross web. A mounting plate has a forwardly offset inner section projecting through a slot and superimposed on the cross web a rearwardly offset outer section coplanar with the cross web. The mounting plate is secured to the cross web by grommets integrally formed with the mounting plate inner section. A ball bearing roller is mounted on the outer section front face and a latch member is pivoted to the outer section outer border. In fabrication the roller and latch member are first assembled on the mounting plate which is then secured to the cross web. Two pairs of interfitting drawer slides are cooperatively associated with a slidable drawer and side supports.

  • Patent number: 4067632
Abstract: A drawer slide structure includes a pair of slide mechanisms supporting the drawer in a cabinet, each mechanism including a pair of vertically spaced telescoping inner and outer relatively slidable channels, the inner channels being rigidly interconnected, the lower outer channel being mounted to the cabinet and the upper channel supporting the drawer. An angle member is secured to the drawer side wall and rests on the upper outer channel and is coupled thereto by a resilient latch element mounted on the upper outer channel front end and releasably engaging a front opening in the angle member horizontal web. Intercoupling is effected merely by lowering the drawer onto the channel member and uncoupling is effected merely by pressing the latch element and raising the drawer front end. A resilient loop depends from the latch element and frictionally engages the lower outer channel in the slide contracted position to prevent inadvertent withdrawal of the drawer.

  • Patent number: 4006945
Abstract: A roller assembly includes a base plate having an opening, a tubular outer race member formed of polymeric resin and a coaxial tubular inner race member formed of metal. The outer race member is open at its distal end and is provided with an annular proximal end wall adjacent the base plate having its central opening coaxial with the base plate opening and a forwardly directed lip along its inner front border. The inner race member has a distal flange registering with the outer race member distal end and a tubular proximal section projecting through the end wall and base plate openings and having its end upset into engagement with the rear borders of the base plate opening.

  • Patent number: 4003536
Abstract: An intravenous bottle support includes a linear horizontal linkage formed of a pair of parallelogram linkages depending and diverging from a common upper pivot plate, corresponding arms of each parallelogram linkage being linked to a vertically movable member. The proximate end of the linkage is supported by a wall mounting bracket for frictionally restrained swinging about a vertical axis and the distal end of the linkage carries an upwardly directed bottle support arm which is angularly adjustable about a horizontal transverse axis and is releasably locked at a preselected angle.
