Publication number: 20100200690Abstract: A target tracking device incorporating a Position Sensitive Detector (PSD) 1 is described. A target is illuminated by a laser of a suitable wavelength. The target reflects the laser radiation and the reflected radiation is incident on a flying vehicle carrying a target tracking device. The PSD in the device outputs a signal representative of the position of the incident laser spot. The output signal is input into control electronics, the control electronics incorporating a resistive transimpedance amplifier. A higher than usual bias voltage is applied to the PSD yielding improved pulse response of the target tracking device. Therefore, the tracking device is particularly suited for use with a target marking laser having a short pulse duration.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 4, 2010Publication date: August 12, 2010Inventor: Michael Sharpe

Publication number: 20080107102Abstract: Multimedia files, such as audio programming, are currently available to Internet users through a combination of their personal computer, an optional portable digital audio player, and an Internet connection. Many audio programs are now currently distributed over the Internet in a syndicated form known as a “podcast”, allowing users to access the latest version or “episode” of the program. The disclosed systems and methods provide a convenient, publicly-accessible system for allocating and using dedicated phone numbers to enable access to these programs. A person can simply place a telephone call and listen to such syndicated or otherwise distributed audio programming through the telephone network without the use of a computer or portable digital audio player.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 23, 2007Publication date: May 8, 2008Applicant: Bandtones LLCInventors: Matthew Kaufman, Michael Sharp, Christopher Coleman

Publication number: 20070266138Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products are provided for managing information technology (IT) processes for a computer network. An incident report, including associated data, is received from an application monitoring resources on the computer network. Additional data associated with the computer network resources to be obtained based on the incident report is automatically identified and obtained. Related data in a historical database is automatically identified based on the incident report and/or the additional data and the identified related historical data is automatically retrieved. The incident report, the additional data and/or the related historical data are analyzed to identify a responsive process to respond to the incident report.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 7, 2007Publication date: November 15, 2007Inventors: Edward Spire, Jiebo Guan, Michael Sharpe, Roberto Reiner, Mark Jones, Stephen Park

Publication number: 20050015307Abstract: A multi-modal system and method for providing automated directory assistance that can be personalized, and provide current information and promotions from a variety of businesses customers in need of goods and services that can be location sensitive. The multi-modal system can contain a database where business information can be categorized using parameters such as location sensitivity to make dialogs between customers and the system more efficient and valuable. Search results can be presented to customers using algorithms that prioritize the results using weighting schemes based on factors comprising for example proximity, relevancy, location, availability of promotions, and accessibility, and that randomize the prioritized results. The system abstracts the interface to this contact point, allowing businesses and customers to use different types of communication devices, including voice, messaging, web, and wap.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 27, 2004Publication date: January 20, 2005Inventors: Todd Simpson, Christopher Lugg, Danny Lowe, Garry Bunkowsky, Michael Sharp

Patent number: 6683382Abstract: A semiconductor device with an interconnect layer having a plurality of layout regions of active interconnects and dummy fills for uniform planarization. In one embodiment, the device will have at least one interconnect layer with a plurality of layout regions overlying the semiconductor substrate. Each layout region will comprise an active interconnect feature region and a dummy fill feature region adjacent thereto for facilitating uniformity of planarization during manufacturing. Each dummy fill region in each layout region will have a different density with respect to other dummy fill regions in other layout regions, so that the combined density of the active interconnect feature region and the dummy fill feature region in a layout region will be substantially uniform with respect to a similar combined density in each of the other layout regions.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 2002Date of Patent: January 27, 2004Assignee: Agere Systems Inc.Inventors: Donald Thomas Cwynar, Sudhanshu Misra, Dennis Okumu Ouma, Vivek Saxena, John Michael Sharpe

Patent number: 6578175Abstract: A process for evaluating and correcting virtual integrated circuit designs includes a method and apparatus for determining a ratio of an amount of material, i.e. polysilicon or metal, in any given layer to an area of the layer. The ratio is then compared to a predetermined target ratio, which is based on a ratio of the total amount of the material to the entire area of the I-C design. The process then automatically inserts or deletes an amount of material from the layer as needed, using any of four methods. These methods include deletion, scaling, deletion and scaling or striping. The ratio for an erroneous layer is rechecked after the first correction is performed and the entire process is repeated using a Newton-Raphson or a Least Absolute Deviation Regression method until the ratio falls within the predetermined tolerances. If the layer has been filled, the layer is further checked for short circuits, fill isolation violations, antenna violations and the like which may have resulted from the material fill.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 1999Date of Patent: June 10, 2003Assignee: Agere Systems Inc.Inventors: Carl A.
