  • Patent number: 11918023
Abstract: A bean roasting system includes a roasting chamber, a blower, a variable diverter and a controller. The roasting chamber, the blower and the variable diverter each is disposed at least partially within a recirculating gas flow path. The blower is configured to provide a flow stream of gas through the recirculating gas flow path. The variable diverter is configured to split the gas flow path into at least two flow paths including a treated flow path and a bypass flow path. The treated flow path includes a series arrangement of a gas heater and a catalytic converter. The variable diverter is configured to control a percentage of a flow stream of gas that is diverted into the bypass flow path. The controller is configured to activate different predetermined operating modes for the bean roasting system by controlling a state of the variable diverter and a state of the heater.

  • Patent number: 11510432
Abstract: A bean roasting system includes a roasting drum, an agitator, and a door. The roasting drum has an inside surface extending from a back end to a front end. The agitator has blades mounted to an axial shaft. The axial shaft has an anterior end portion. The door is mounted rotationally relative to the roasting drum and includes a glass plate and a bearing assembly. The glass plate provides visual access to contents inside the roasting drum when the door is closed. The bearing assembly includes an outer housing and an inner bearing. The outer housing is mounted to the glass plate. The inner bearing defines a receiving hole that receives and supports the anterior end portion of the axial shaft when the door closed.

  • Patent number: 11291779
Abstract: An aerosolization device for providing aerosolized medicament to a user. The device has an aerosol generator at the base of a fluid receiving chamber. A top cover is provided over the top opening of the fluid receiving chamber, wherein the top cover defines a conduit opening which provides fluid access to the fluid receiving chamber. The top cover comprises a set of spokes which extend outwardly from the conduit opening and extend beyond the top opening thereby to seat the top cover over the outer housing. This top cover has a design which reduces the regions where liquid medication may become trapped.

  • Patent number: 10837567
Abstract: A disclosed system may add different irrigation timing intervals than those of a master flow irrigation system. Electronic timing systems are not used. Native water pressure flowing internally into the system to move components and otherwise control flow ports is used to control timing. A main fluid intake may accept fluid to pressurize and motivate a diaphragm. The diaphragm houses a ratchet flexure finger which may tangentially engage and rotate a gear spindle which is rotationally coupled to and houses one or multiple cams. A 2-way valve is in contact with one of the cams tangentially and centrically via a valve plunger. The cam(s) have lobe(s) with the peak of the profile being the nose and lower profile base circles. As the cam is rotated, it engages with the valve plunger at the nose or base circle, thus opening and closing the 2-way valve and allowing or stopping flow.

  • Patent number: 9637063
Abstract: Use of a laptop, tablet or other electronic device within a vehicle or other mode of transportation is often made difficult due to vibration, bumps and sudden turns. A vibration cancelling platform provides stabilization for an electronic device while being used in a moving vehicle. A platform may comprise a top housing and a bottom housing which may slide laterally relative to each other in order to stabilize a user's electronic device resting upon the top housing. Low friction sliding components such as linear slides or rollers help to reduce or prevent the environmental movement experienced by the bottom housing from being transmitted to the upper housing. Spring elements secured between the top and bottom housings further assist in reducing vibration and act to stabilize the top housing in a centralized position. The platform may comprise two or more sections that slide open and expand the platform size to accommodate laptops of different sizes.

  • Patent number: 8216290
Abstract: The present invention relates to a replaceable module for use with a thermal contrast therapy systems. The replaceable module may be an automated thermal contrast therapy module which includes a casing, a manual mixing valve, an automated mixing valve, an automated mixing valve actuator, a temperature sensor, and an interface. A cold and a hot fluid are mixed to generate a therapy fluid. The therapy fluid may be output to a therapy bladder. The second replaceable module is a compression therapy module which includes a casing, an air pump, a pneumatic solenoid, and a pressure monitor. The casing may include a pressurized air pathway including an air outlet. The pump may pressurize the air within the pathway, and the solenoid may regulate the air pressure using feedback from the pressure sensor. Additionally, a pressure relief valve may release pressure if it gets above a safety threshold. The compression therapy module may also include a fluid pathway.

  • Publication number: 20060145039
Abstract: An improved mounting platform (300) holds a variety of electronic devices (500, 510, 515) of differing sizes and shapes. A customized saddle assembly (310), designed for a particular electronic device, is affixed to the base (305) of the platform. The device is then inserted into the saddle and held securely in place by the top surface (905) of a cam assembly (315). Buttons (325, 326) and shuttle (925) control the raising and lowering of the cam. When the platform is in use, a spring (910) urges the cam against the back of the device being held. The device is released from the platform by squeezing the buttons together, causing the cam to move away from the device, and sliding the device out of the saddle. In an alternative embodiment, a pressure pad (1600) is used in place of the cam. A variety of electronic connections (335-375) and other accessories such as a loudspeaker (376) and a magnetic-stripe card reader (330) can be included in the platform in order to provide useful interfaces to the device.
