Publication number: 20260160804Abstract: Machine learning (ML) tools for analyzing semiconductor yield analysis data, such as to infer information related to defects based on feature values of the yield diagnostic data, where the yield diagnostic data includes wafer-level test data, wafer-region based defect densities (DDs), and functional circuit block-based DDs. The wafer region based DDs are a function of numbers of defects within regions of the wafers and physical areas of the regions. The functional circuit block based DDs are a function of numbers of defects of functional circuit blocks and physical areas of the functional circuit blocks. The ML tools may include a supervised learning-based classification model, such as a gradient boosting classifier, an unsupervised outlier detection model, such as a hierarchical density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise model, an unsupervised clustering model, and/or an unsupervised associative model.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 10, 2024Publication date: June 11, 2026Inventors: Yuezhen FAN, Li FANG, Michael SHEN, Sahand VATANKHAH, Hsien Jung WANG

Patent number: 12221617Abstract: Provided are compositions and methods for making a diploid yeast having heterozygosity for at least one chromosome. The method includes mating haploid yeast having at least a first modified chromosome comprising a synthetic chromosome suitable for recombination-site-mediated evolution (as a SCRaMbLE-ready modification). The SCRaMbLE-ready modification includes introduced site-specific recombinase recognition sites that can be recognized by a recombinase. Yeast that have at least one SCRaMbLE-ready modification of a chromosome are mated with a haploid yeast devoid of the SCRaMbLE-ready modification to obtain diploid SCRaMbLE-ready yeast. Subsequent to mating the haploid SCRaMbLE-ready yeast to yeast devoid of the SCRaMbLE-ready modification the method includes using the recombinase to recombine the first modified chromosome to obtain heterozygous diploid yeast comprising at least one recombined (SCRaMbLEd) chromosome and a homologous non-SCRaMbLEd chromosome.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 2017Date of Patent: February 11, 2025Assignee: New York UniversityInventors: Michael Shen, Jef D. Patent number: 9768893Abstract: A unique method/device for isolating the over-the-air segment within a mobile communications network is provided. A coordinated set of tests is run to isolate problems in an end-to-end network including over-the-air segment, wired, and core network segments. Test results are compared to identify which segment or components within a segment is failing. The testing device executes the same test in two differentiated modes. In one mode, the device acts as a mobile client device identified by subscriber identification data that communicates with the network base station over-the-air using the standard control and data protocols of the mobile network. In another mode, the testing device, identified by the same subscriber identification data, acts like the combination of the same Mobile Client Device(s) and a Network Base Station using a wired interface that is equivalent to the wired interface that connects the network base station to the rest of the wired network.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 2016Date of Patent: September 19, 2017Assignee: Spirent Communications, Inc.Inventors: Richard Wank, Mike Ludwig, Kevin Canady, Michael Shen

Publication number: 20170058354Abstract: Techniques for diagnosis of aggressive prostate cancer include determining a level of expression of each of the genes encoding (FOXM1) Forkhead box protein M1 and Centromere protein F (CENPF) in a test sample. If the level of expression of each of the FOXM1 and CENPF genes in the test sample is at least 35% higher than the corresponding level in a control sample, then it is determined that the subject has an aggressive form of prostate cancer or has a high risk of prostate cancer progressing to an aggressive form. Alternatively, if at least 50% of prostate cancer cells in the sample express both FOXM1 protein and CENPF protein at a composite score of at least 100 for each, then the above diagnosis is made. Composite score is calculated by multiplying a percent staining value by a staining intensity value.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 19, 2015Publication date: March 2, 2017Inventors: Corinne ABATE-SHEN, Andrea CALIFANO, Michael SHEN
