  • Patent number: 11227114
Abstract: Methods, and systems for a natural language interface with real-time feedback. One of the methods includes receiving an n-gram of characters; identifying a first prefix token within the n-gram of characters; identifying a plurality of possible interpretations of the n-gram of characters; for each possible interpretation, attaching the first prefix token to a token sequence; removing the first prefix token from the n-gram of characters to produce an n-gram remainder; identifying a second prefix token within the n-gram remainder using a tokenizer; identifying a plurality of remaining possible interpretations based on the first prefix token and the second prefix token; for each remaining possible interpretation attaching the second prefix token to a token sequence; applying grammatical rules to each token sequence to determine that each token sequence is valid; and forwarding interpretation data associated with at least one valid token sequence.

  • Patent number: 10691704
Abstract: This specification describes systems and methods for a domain-based search engine. One aspect of the invention provides a computer implemented method including: receiving a query that identifies an entity; identifying a domain that has the entity as a member; obtaining an entity-to-domain weight; identifying a precedent set connected to the domain; obtaining a precedent-set-to-domain weight; identifying an event in the precedent set; determining a score for the event based at least in part on (i) the entity to domain weight and (ii) the precedent set to domain weight; and providing rendering data for the event when the score satisfies a specified threshold. The rendering data can include a selectable link and the method can further include receiving a selection of the selectable link and in response to receiving the selection, providing rendering data that is indicative of an impact of the event on an entity.

  • Patent number: 8033711
Abstract: A bendable line voltage track lighting system includes a track having a conductor subassembly and first and second bendable sheaths that engage the conductor subassembly. The conductor subassembly includes first and second insulators that receive first and second bus-bars, respectively, and a compression gasket for biasing the two insulators into engagement with guide grooves in the bendable sheaths. Power is fed to the track by power connectors that engage the bus-bars contained within the conductor subassembly. • Publication number: 20070218173
Abstract: A process for the production of coextruded collagen encased food products, such as meat products, and the resulting meat products. The process includes the extrusion of a meat emulsion with an amount of a collagen gel that includes a cross-linking agent coating the exterior of the meat emulsion. Further, the coated meat emulsion is exposed to a coagulation solution that includes an amount of a alkalinity agent, with a pH range of 10 to 14. The coagulation solution hardens the collagen casing meat product producing a final meat product with a casing strength of greater than 500 g.

  • Patent number: 7073020
Abstract: A system interface includes a plurality of first directors, a plurality of second directors, a data transfer section and a message network. The data transfer section includes a cache memory. The cache memory is coupled to the plurality of first and second directors. The messaging network operates independently of the data transfer section and such network is coupled to the plurality of first directors and the plurality of second directors. The first and second directors control data transfer between the first directors and the second directors in response to messages passing between the first directors and the second directors through the messaging network to facilitate data transfer between first directors and the second directors. The data passes through the cache memory in the data transfer section. A method for operating a data storage system adapted to transfer data between a host computer/server and a bank of disk drives.

  • Publication number: 20020147043
Abstract: A method inviting members of the public to participate in various free, computer network implemented gaming events awards prizes to those participants that have obtained some predetermined ranking in the event. The method divides eligibility criteria in each gaming even in accordance with a plurality of intersecting and non-intersecting subsets of demographically significant indicia. The process of collecting the prize includes comparison of the recipient's personal data against the particular subset, thus insuring a highly reliable data base in each of the subsets. In this manner accurate data is collected that may be useful in marketing endeavors.

  • Patent number: 6061274
Abstract: A computer storage system includes an array of storage devices, a system cache memory, one or more back end directors for controlling data transfer between the storage devices and the system cache memory, and one or more front end directors for controlling data transfer between the system cache memory and a host computer. Each director includes a processor and a message interface for controlling high speed message transfer between the processors in the directors. The message interfaces in the directors may be interconnected in a closed-loop configuration. Each message interface may include a transmit/receive circuit for transferring messages to and from other directors, a message memory for storing outgoing messages and incoming messages, and a message controller for controlling transfer of messages between the processor and the message memory and between the message memory and the transmit/receive circuit.

  • Patent number: 5603638
Abstract: A housing for female receptacles in a molded female receptacle plug has a body and cover to receive female receptacle connectors. The housing is a premold for the receptacle plug. Female receptacles may be engaged in the housing and simultaneously crimped to wires in a cord set. The body and cover are interengagable. They can be snap fit or slide fitted together with female receptacle crimp ends on necks extending through the housing safe from mold plastic flashing in molding, when load bars are conventionally engaged into blade openings in the housing. The assembly of the housing and female receptacle is automatable with labor and material economies obtained in the molding and from automatable assembly and simultaneous crimpability of the engaged female receptacles.

  • Patent number: 4350130
Abstract: This specification discloses an apparatus and method for controlling the air fuel ratio in an internal combustion engine in response to a signal from an exhaust gas oxygen sensor. A signal proportional to the average air fuel ratio indicated by exhaust gases is integrated to produce a control signal which governs the air fuel ratio. A feedback loop around the integrator provides for an advantageously fast time response of the controller with no over-shoot or instability.
