Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to integrating human decision-making into a model-based system. In one embodiment, a method includes acquiring sensor data, including driver data about a driver of a vehicle and driving data about the vehicle and a surrounding environment of the vehicle. The method includes encoding, using a world encoder, the sensor data into a latent representation. The method includes determining human decision- making characteristics according to the latent representation. The method includes generating a control signal for providing shared control of the vehicle according to the human decision-making characteristics and the latent representation.

Abstract: A ventilator having a functionality to defrost a ventilator core includes a two sets of ports, one set used for coupling of the ventilator with ducting and other used for redirecting indoor air flowing along a first flowpath through the recovery core to a second flow path normally used for outdoor air. A re-circulator is removably fixed between an inlet for outdoor air and an outlet for indoor air of the set of ports not coupled to the ducting. A pair of dampers, operated by a single motor, allow the ventilator to be operated in a mode that enables redirection of the indoor air from the first flowpath to the second flowpath, simultaneously blocking inflow of the outdoor air.

Abstract: A multi-functional, portable device for use in situations where electricity is not available or convenient is disclosed. A portable safety device includes a power charger and air compressor that may safely jump start a vehicle and recharge portable electronic devices, such as phones and laptop computers, as well as inflate vehicle tires or other inflatable objects, when a standard external power source is not convenient. It may also be used for providing an emergency light source.

Abstract: A ventilator includes a housing having at least one opening formed therein. The housing has a plurality of sides including a first side and a second side and a modular duct connector having a through hole for connection with a duct. The modular duct connector is connectable to the at least one opening of the housing in at least a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration, the through hole is arranged at the first side of the housing and in the second configuration, the through hole is arranged at the second side of the housing.

Abstract: A dividing wall column system is provided. The dividing wall column system comprises a dividing wall column, a first reboiler, a second reboiler, and a heat pump. The dividing wall column includes a dividing wall positioned in a bottom section of the dividing wall column to divide the bottom section of the dividing wall column into a first side and a second side. The first reboiler is outside of the dividing wall column and in fluid communication with the first side of the bottom section of the dividing wall column. The second reboiler is outside of the dividing wall column and in fluid communication with the second side of the bottom section of the dividing wall column. The heat pump is in fluid communication with the dividing wall column and the second reboiler and configured to compress a first portion of an overhead product from the dividing wall column.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, computer readable medium for maintaining a user profile at a web service, including receiving at least one search term from a mobile application, generating a profile associated with an identifier for the mobile application, and storing the received at least one search term from the mobile application in connection with the identifier in the profile. The web service may generate an anonymous identifier for the mobile application, wherein the at least one search term from the mobile application is stored in connection with the anonymous identifier in the profile. The web service may receive and store a location and other information from the mobile application. The profile may be updated so that additional searches can be performed based at least in part of the maintained profile.

Abstract: A communication system may be provided that includes a lead communication assembly configured to be disposed onboard a lead vehicle in a multi-vehicle system, and a remote communication assembly configured to be disposed onboard a remote vehicle in the multi-vehicle system. The lead communication assembly and the remote communication assembly may be configured to communicate with each other via a wired connection extending along the multi-vehicle system from at least the lead vehicle to at least the remote vehicle. Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for extracting and redacting sensitive information from audio. A call having audio and being associated with a customer can be received at a computing device, and the call can be routed to an agent device. During the call, the computing device can detect an impending disclosure of sensitive personal information of the customer. The computing device can generate, during the call, sensitive data that can correspond to the sensitive personal information. The sensitive data can be generated based on sensitive audio of the call. The computing device can provide modified audio to the agent device in real-time or non-real-time. The modified audio can include nonsensitive audio of the call and can omit the sensitive audio. The sensitive data can be provided to a call handling application that is in communication with the computing device and with the agent device.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses are provided for securely receiving packages or items from a delivery service and stopping porch pirates from stealing the packages or items. A single door or multi-door embodiment selectively allows access to a lockable box so that a delivery service can place packages or items in the lockable box that a purchaser can later retrieve. The lockable box can have a locking system with rotatable key combinations, temporary key combinations, and/or other features that allow a delivery service to selectively access the lockable box. Some embodiments also integrate the lockable box into existing features of a residence such as a door.

Abstract: A floating game assembly including a float, a field goal post, a game mat, and a ball is provided. The float includes a body defining a central opening and a mount secured to the body. The float is configured to float on a water surface. The field goal post is inflatable or is formed from a plurality of pipes and a plurality of connection fittings. The plurality of pipes are connected with the plurality of connection fittings to form the field goal post, allowing the field goal post to be constructed and deconstructed. At least a portion of the field goal post can be inserted into the mount to removably secure the field goal post to the float.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a connection device couples a mobile device having a touch-sensitive display screen to a component of home automation system. The connection device couples a wired serial communication interface of the mobile device to a wired serial communication interface of the component. The mobile device executes a configuration application (app), whose a user interface is displayed on the touch-sensitive display screen. Using the user interface, a user may configure the component to join a Wi-Fi network, as well as configure more advanced settings of the component. Similarly, in response to further input on the user interface, the configuration app on the mobile device may send additional control commands via the connection device, or the Wi-Fi network, to the component, to configure additional settings of the component.
