  • Publication number: 20190162748
Abstract: A pump assembly method and computer program are disclosed. The pump assembly comprises: a pump, an associated motor controller and an accelerometer mounted on the pump. The motor controller is configured to control power supplied to drive the pump and to receive data output from the accelerometer, the motor controller comprising processing circuitry configured to process the data received from the accelerometer to determine accelerations experienced at the pump due to the pump operation. These accelerations can be used to determine a condition of the pump.

  • Patent number: 7884593
Abstract: A controlled, symmetrical, stable current source that can power floating resistive loads, eliminates the need to connect the load directly to either a power supply or ground and protects the load against overpower should either or both sides of the load be shorted to ground. The current source includes two operational amplifiers for providing a current through the load that is proportional to an input voltage applied across the respective non-inverting inputs of the two operational amplifiers; two current sensing resistors for providing voltage drops that are proportional to the current through the load; and four summing resistors connected to the sensing resistors for providing to the inverting inputs of the operational amplifiers voltages that offset the sum of the voltage drops provided by the sensing resistors so that the current through the load is controlled by only the input voltage.

  • Publication number: 20070159280
Abstract: A magnet system for generating a magnetic field may include a superconducting magnet, a switch, and a heater element thermally coupled to the switch. The superconducting magnet is structured to generate magnetic fields, and the switch includes a non-inductive superconducting current carrying path connected in parallel to the superconducting magnet. In general, the switch is structured to only carry a level of current that is a portion of the current required to obtain a full field by the superconducting magnet.

  • Patent number: 5315324
Abstract: A print cartridge contains a matrix array of electrodes which are energized to deposit a latent charge image. To make the cartridge, electrodes are fabricated on a sheet which is then deformed about a rigid spine. Certain electrodes are formed of plural segments, and the segments are electrically interconnected only after the sheet is deformed. This prevents strains introduced during manufacture from building up over large distances and pulling active electrode structures out of alignment. A preferred cartridge has an area of active electrodes, which is planar and undeformed. Lead-in electrodes extend through deformed regions of the sheet, and are conductively fastened to the active electrodes only after the sheet has been deformed about a rigid spine and the electrodes have attained a stable and unstressed position. The spine maintains the active electrodes in a precise plane, and accommodates pressure from spring-loaded electrical contacts without deflecting.
