  • Patent number: 8212479
Abstract: A high-pressure discharge lamp having a discharge vessel with a central part that bulges out and which defines a lamp axis with a sealing part being attached to each end of the discharge vessel. The shaft of in each case one electrode, comprising a head and a shaft, is sealed in the sealing part, and a capillary tube closely surrounding the shaft of the electrode is between the central part of the discharge vessel and the sealing part. A tubular neck is integrally formed as a component of the discharge vessel between the central part and the capillary tube, and is separated from the shaft.

  • Patent number: 4458692
Abstract: A system for predicting ventricular tachycardia from electrocardiograph input waveforms. A first means generates a signal representative of the input waveforms exceeding a preselected level. A second filter means has its gain controlled responsive to the first means output signal, and provides an output responsive to said input waveforms. Ventricular tachycardia is then predicted responsive to the second filter means output. In one embodiment, the input waveforms are digitized prior to processing by the first and second means. In another embodiment, the input waveforms are signal averaged prior to processing by the first and second means.

  • Patent number: 4011086
Abstract: Photographic silver halide emulsions and elements containing completely rigidized carbocyanine dyes which can be represented by the general formula: ##STR1## wherein: A. Z represents the atoms necessary to complete a heterocyclic nucleus of the type found in cyanine dyes useful as sensitizers in photographic silver halide emulsions, andB. X.sup.- represents an anion.
