  • Patent number: 11940254
Abstract: A projectile designed to be lead-free and have a ballistic coefficient ranging from about 0.13 to about 0.80 or greater for enhanced energy/performance at extended ranges may have an elongated body formed with a jacket including a wall having an end defining an ogive portion and a cavity or recess defined within the jacket and in which a core is received. The projectile can be configured in various calibers and sizes. The projectile core may be formed from a plurality of core sections, and at least one of the plurality of core sections may include tungsten powder and a lead-free binder material pressed together to form a substantially cylindrical shape or compact. One or more of the core sections further can be sintered, and the one or more core sections may be received in an end-to-end relationship within the cavity defined by the jacket to form a stacked, sectional core.

  • Patent number: 7615107
Abstract: An emission treatment system includes a first separation device that is operable to introduce one or more sorbents into an exhaust stream having emission products. The sorbent captures the emission products such that the exhaust stream includes sorbent with captured emission products. A second separation device located downstream from the first separation device receives the exhaust stream and utilizes an electrostatic potential to separate the sorbent with captured emission products from the exhaust stream into a discharge stream to produce a clean stream.

  • Patent number: 7600182
Abstract: Apparatus for automatically building an electronic form for presentation to a user during a data capture process segregates the data capture intent behind the form from the presentation and execution of the form to a data capture user. In this way, the data capture process, including generation of the form and display of user input prompts, can be carried out on any computing platform independent of the system used to generate a data capture definition file that specifies the intent of the data capture requirements. The specification of data elements required during data capture, each having a type specification and a logical relationship relative to other data elements in a hierarchical structure are defined in a data capture definition file in a predetermined format.

  • Publication number: 20090020013
Abstract: A deoxygenating system includes a processed fluid that flows through a membrane deoxygenator. Oxygen is removed by the membrane deoxygenator and stored in an oxygen storage container separate from the subsequently deoxygenated processed fluid. In one example, the membrane deoxygenator includes a membrane filter having an uneven surface for improved efficiency of the membrane deoxygenator. The processed fluid can then be packaged without exposure to the removed oxygen and shipped offsite to customers remote from the processing facility.

  • Patent number: 7329305
Abstract: An example system for processing a material stream includes a deoxygenator for removing dissolved oxygen. Removal of dissolved oxygen provides for the reduction of reactions and processes that can result in the generation of undesirable insoluble materials that can clog or otherwise foul the system. The deoxygenator includes an oxygen permeable membrane to remove dissolved oxygen from the flowing material stream. Because dissolved oxygen can be removed from the material stream essentially without disrupting flow, there is little affect on the overall process. The removal of dissolved oxygen provides significant increases in process efficiencies by reducing or eliminating the formation of undesirable by products within a material stream.

  • Publication number: 20080011920
Abstract: A storage system for inside a Sea-Land shipping container provides at least two hanging brackets, each bracket having a vertical beam with a hook at an upper end portion for releasable engagement with a lashing ring carried on a wall inside the Sea-Land shipping container to depend therefrom adjacent the wall. Supports extend forwardly outwardly from the hanging beams and are reinforced by braces communicating between the support and hanging beam. A squaring foot at a lower end portion of each hanging beam extends perpendicular thereto preventing axial rotation of the hanging beam. A vertical member at end portion of each support, opposite the hanging beam, prevents materials from falling off the support.
