  • Patent number: 9715715
Abstract: Methods, systems, and software are provided that may perform, for example, the following. A preload table may be determined based on a graphics item to be processed. The graphics item may comprise a plurality of graphics lines. The preload table may indicate a pattern of pixel processing and cache line preloading operations for a single one of the graphics lines. For each of the graphics lines of the graphics item, the pixels may be processed and the cache line preloading operations may be performed in accordance with the preload table.

  • Patent number: 8593309
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for decoding a variable length code. A decoding module is configured to receive the variable length code. The variable length code is a plurality of bits. The decoding module is also configured to identify a number of times the lead bit is repeated consecutively at the beginning of the plurality of bits. The lead bit is predetermined to be one of a 1 or 0. The decoding module is also configured to identify a code word in a table of code words by using the number of times the lead bit is repeated.

  • Publication number: 20120036483
Abstract: A device is described having a memory storing data specifying a change animation between pictures to be displayed successively on the display, a setting circuit configured to store a setting specifying that a change animation between pictures to be displayed successively on the display is to be carried out in accordance with the specification of the change animation given by the data, a display controller configured to control a display to display a first picture, a detector configured to detect an event which triggers that a second picture is to be displayed on the display, a determination circuit configured to read the setting and to determine, based on the setting, a change animation between the first picture and the second picture, wherein the display controller is configured to control the display to display the change animation, and, after the change animation, to display the second picture.

  • Publication number: 20080141365
Abstract: A document archiving and retrieval system enables third parties to verify that an electronic document had been archived on a particular date and time. For each document to be archived, a hash function generates a digital fingerprint of the document, and inserts it into a hash list file, together with an indicator of the location of the file in the archive. The hash list file is the submitted to an electronic time stamping authority to obtain a corresponding digital time stamp. Upon request, authentication of the hash list file with the digital time stamp, and verification that the current hash of the file matches that in the hash list file proves that the document was archived on the date indicated by the digital time stamp, and had not subsequently been altered.

  • Patent number: 6091852
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of pattern recognition in which the pattern of an n-dimensional object is captured by a data-processing device which can image and process the n-dimensional object with different degrees of precision (s) within a computer. The invention comprises the following steps: the n dimensional object is imaged in the computer with at least two different degrees of precision (s); at least one parameter (U) of the n-dimensional object is determined by integration or summation for each imaged degree of precision(s); and the functional dependency (U(s)) of the integrated or summed parameter or parameters on the degree of precision(s) is determined and used as a measure for the pattern to be recognized. The pattern-recognizing method according to the invention is likewise based on these method steps.
