  • Publication number: 20210093789
Abstract: Drug delivery devices and related arrangements are disclosed. A drug delivery device may include a housing having an opening, a drug storage container including a delivery member with an insertion end configured to extend at least partially through the opening, and a plunger. A drive mechanism may be included for driving the plunger in a distal direction to expel a drug from the drug storage container through the delivery member upon activation. The drug delivery device may additionally include a guard moveably disposed adjacent to the opening and operably coupled to the drive mechanism for activation of the drive mechanism. A lock may be selectively engageable with the guard to limit movement of the guard in the proximal direction. An indicator may be coupled to the drive mechanism to generate an audible signal during drug delivery, and to cease generating the audible signal when drug delivery is complete.

  • Patent number: 10962327
Abstract: An illumination device for a firearm may include a housing supporting multiple lamps. A switch actuator of the device is rotationally coupled to a rear end of the housing. A cam is coupled to the switch actuator, such that the cam rotates with the actuator, the cam having a first end including a magnet and a second end having a shaped cam surface configured to interface with a cam follower. The actuator and the cam are biased toward a neutral position. Selective rotation of the cam causes a magnet of the cam to operate one or more magnetic switches. The cam is transitionable between a plurality of discrete positions, e.g., including a pair of toggle positions in the first rotational direction from the neutral position, and a pair of momentary positions disposed on the cam in the second rotational direction from the neutral position.

  • Patent number: 10845432
Abstract: A system and method for calibrating rigid and non-rigid arrays of 3-axis magnetometers. Such arrays might be used to analyze structures containing ferromagnetic material. The calibration determines scale factor and bias parameters of each magnetometer in the array, and the relative orientation and position of each magnetometer in the array. Once the parameters are determined, the actual magnetic field value at the magnetometer location can be simply related to magnetometer measurements. The method and system can be used to calibrate an array of 3-axis magnetometers in aggregate as opposed to individual magnetometers. This is critical in large arrays to increasing reproducibility of the calibration procedure and decreasing time required to complete calibration procedure.

  • Publication number: 20200268965
Abstract: A system for refilling a multi-chamber implantable infusion device is presented. The infusion device has a refill chamber which is accessible through an external septum of a refill port. The refill chamber is divided by an inner septum into an upper reservoir and a lower reservoir. The lower refill chamber is refilled with lower reservoir needles having a needle opening axially placed to align with the lower reservoir. The upper reservoir is refilled with an upper reservoir needle having an opening aligned with the upper reservoir. Magnetic portions are provided in the needles to localize and identify the needle. A processor within the infusion device is connected to magnetic field sensors which sense magnetic portions of the needle and recognize information encoded magnetically within the needle.
