  • Patent number: 8925998
Abstract: The present invention relates to a roof fairing body and a method of installing a roof fairing on a vehicle. The roof fairing includes a lower fairing body section, an upper fairing body section, a shipping configuration, and an operable configuration. The lower fairing body section includes a front wall and side walls extending rearward from opposite ends of the front wall. The front wall and side walls cooperate to define an upper roof fairing section receiving space. The upper fairing body section is configured to mate with the lower fairing body section to form at least one hinge. When in the shipping configuration, the upper roof fairing section is positioned at least partially within the upper roof fairing section receiving space of the lower fairing body section, whereby the roof fairing body is provided with a shipping height and the upper roof fairing section and the lower fairing body section mate to form at least one hinge.

  • Publication number: 20080072805
Abstract: A pyrolysis waste treatment system having a pyrolyzer and a thermal oxidizer that are aligned in a partially or completely piggybacked fashion, and heat from the exhaust gas of the thermal oxidizer is shunted back to the pyrolyzer to help sustain pyrolysis. Such conduits can have any suitable configuration, including for example where the conduit extends from sides (as opposed to the ends) of each of the pyrolyzer and the thermal oxidizer. Contemplated pyrolyzers and the thermal oxidizers can have any suitable dimensions, but are preferably at least 5 meters long, and have a cross sectional area of at least 10 m2. In most contemplated embodiments, the thermal oxidizer has a length within 20% of the length of the pyrolyzer.

  • Publication number: 20070113761
Abstract: Apparatus for treating waste material having a thermal chamber, a feed-stock inlet coupled to the thermal chamber and feeds waste material into the thermal chamber, a heater that heats the thermal chamber, and at least one dual knife gate valve positioned in the apparatus for restricting the passage of the waste material through an interior space of the apparatus and limits the introduction of gas into the thermal chamber. The dual knife gate valve has at least one movable blade that moves toward another blade.

  • Publication number: 20050189786
Abstract: An adjustable roof extension for a vehicle that has a cab portion and a trailer portion includes a roof extension adapted for disposition at a rear of a roof of the cab portion and an adjustment mechanism that attaches the roof extension to the cab portion such that the roof extension is pivotable and that an end of the roof extension that is nearer the trailer portion is controllably movable to pull an air flow over the cab portion toward the trailer portion.

  • Publication number: 20050012344
Abstract: A latch assembly for moving a latching pin a vertical distance between a latch position and an unlatch position. A rotatable handle defines a plane of rotation when rotated about an axis of rotation and a latching pin is connected to the rotatable handle. The central axis of the latching pin is perpendicular to the plane of rotation and coincident with the axis of rotation. A latching pin guide member engages and guides the latching pin along the central axis in response to rotation of the handle.

  • Patent number: 6497875
Abstract: A multilayer skin equivalent is formed having a scaffold layer containing dermis-forming cells, and a keratinocyte layer. The dermis-forming cells and keratinocytes are preferably autologous, and the dermis-forming cells can be human mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), dermal fibroblasts (e.g., papillary or reticular dermal fibroblasts) or mixtures thereof. The scaffold is preferably type I collagen alone, or types I and II collagen in combination. Also formed is a multilayer skin equivalent having a scaffold layer containing a layer of extracellular matrix component containing papillary dermal fibroblasts in laminar relationship with a layer of extracellular matrix component containing reticular dermal fibroblasts, and a keratinocyte layer. A multilayer dermal equivalent is provided having a layer of extracellular matrix component containing papillary dermis-forming cells and a layer of extracellular matrix component containing reticular dermis-forming cells.
