  • Publication number: 20050183382
Abstract: Method of forming members from thermally conductive components which have a gap therebetween. The gap is bridged and the conductive components integrated into a composite member by a reinforced polymer. This provides a thermal break which inhibits the flow of heat between the conductive components of the member. This construction also blocks the transfer of sound and other vibrations between the conductive components of the member. The construction also mitigates the formation of condensation on an artifact fixed to one of the components. After the gap is bridged with the reinforced polymer, the member may be punched with holes and roll formed.

  • Patent number: 4685565
Abstract: An interconnectable beverage container system has tongue and groove members spaced at regular intervals about the periphery of the body of each container. The tongue members each have a front surface and a pair of oppositely disposed axially extending undercut sides, and the groove members each have a pair of oppositely disposed undercut axially extending projections defining a void or groove. The tongue member slides snugly into a respective groove member of another container. Neck plates or neck flanges have lobes that extend radially outward substantially to the periphery of the container, with cutouts between successive lobes. The respective cutouts of a cluster of containers combine to form fingerholes for lifting the cluster of containers.

  • Patent number: 4671721
Abstract: This invention is directed to an apparatus for lifting objects. The apparatus is suspended from a cable which is attached to a crane. The apparatus is used in construction such as in the construction of buildings. The apparatus can connect with a precast concrete panel and lift the precast concrete panel to a desired opening in a building under construction. Also, the apparatus can lift building material to a desired opening in a building, to a proper location in a dam under construction, and to a tower under construction such as a high voltage electric line tower, a radio and television tower and the like. The crane can be on top of the article being constructed such as a building or a dam or the crane can be on the ground. The cable is suspended from the crane and attaches to the apparatus so that the position of the apparatus can be varied both horizontally and vertically and also away from the article under construction and toward the article under construction.
