  • Patent number: 11956071
Abstract: An example method includes receiving a message from a sending service and addressed to a destination service. The message is sent to the destination service using a synchronous message modality responsive to a communication history parameter for the destination service indicating a synchronous message type. The message is sent to the destination service using an asynchronous message modality responsive to the communication history parameter indicating an asynchronous message type. A reply is received from the destination service and the reply is sent to the sending service. The synchronous message modality comprises waiting for a reply to be received from the destination service for a predetermined time interval. The asynchronous message modality comprises storing identification data associated with the message in a correlation data store, receiving the reply from the destination service, and determining whether the reply is associated with the message based on the identification data.

  • Patent number: 11373471
Abstract: A locking system includes a server, an electronic locking mechanism, and a controller associated with a user. The controller is configured to detect the electronic locking mechanism and acquire lock data therefrom, and transmit the lock data to the server. The server, absent any interaction from the user, is configured to receive the lock data for the electronic locking mechanism, register the electronic locking mechanism to the user, and transmit an access credential for accessing the electronic locking mechanism to a user device associated with the user. The electronic locking mechanism is configured to receive the access credential directly from the user device or indirectly from the user device through the controller and make an access decision based on the access credential, independent of the server.

  • Publication number: 20110302950
Abstract: A refrigerator has an air duct that brings a supply of chilled air to an air flow pathway that leads to an ice maker. A low profile impeller within the pathway forces the chilled air toward the ice maker. A curved vane guides the flow of air towards the ice maker. An impinger with a plurality of nozzles focuses the air flow from the impeller onto the ice maker.
