  • Publication number: 20230056945
Abstract: An imaging system for inspecting multiple objects includes an x-ray source having a beam width greater than or equal to a threshold beam size. The multiple objects is irradiated by the x-ray source in respective controlled inspection positions. A detection mechanism is adapted to acquire respective images of the multiple objects in the respective controlled inspection positions. The detection mechanism includes one or more detectors arranged circumferentially around a central axis. At least one positioning mechanism is adapted to move the multiple objects into and out of the respective controlled inspection positions.

  • Patent number: 11493171
Abstract: A device for carrying fuel in aircraft and spacecraft includes a carrier element having a longitudinal axis, and a fuel tank with a side wall and a chamber at least partially delimited by the side wall. The tank is arranged in the carrier element. The chamber and the side wall extend in a direction along the longitudinal axis. The side wall has a pressure-receiving component that converts a pressure from the chamber on the side wall into a contraction force acting on the side wall along the longitudinal axis. The contraction force compensates for an expansion force, resulting from the pressure from the chamber and acting on the side wall along the longitudinal axis. This provides an improved device for carrying fuel in aircraft and spacecraft, wherein the aircraft and spacecraft has constant flight mechanical properties because of the device.

  • Publication number: 20180350551
Abstract: An X-ray assembly may include a vacuum wall, an anode, and a cathode. The vacuum wall may define a vacuum enclosure and may include an X-ray window. The anode may be located within the vacuum enclosure. The anode may include a target area. The cathode may be located within the vacuum enclosure. The cathode may generate an electron stream to travel to a focus area located at the target area of the anode. The cathode may be positioned such that the electron stream travels along an oblique path relative a virtual line positioned so as to intersect a center of the focus area and a center of the X-ray window.
