  • Publication number: 20240131490
Abstract: The invention generally relates to systems and methods for increasing reaction yield. In certain embodiments, the invention provides systems for increasing a yield of a chemical reaction that include a pneumatic sprayer configured to generate a liquid spray discharge from a solvent. The solvent includes a plurality of molecules, a portion of which react with each other within the liquid spray discharge to form a reaction product. The system also includes a collector positioned to receive the liquid spray discharge including the unreacted molecules and the reaction product. The system also includes a recirculation loop connected from the collector to the pneumatic sprayer in order to allow the unreacted molecules and the reaction product to be recycled through the pneumatic sprayer, thereby allowing a plurality of the unreacted molecules to react with each other as the unreacted molecules cycle again through the system.

  • Patent number: 11911751
Abstract: Disclosed are highly active cationic cobalt phosphine complexes, both mono- and bimetallic, that can catalyze hydroformylation reactions. The disclosed catalysts can be utilized in methods that provide reaction processes that are hundreds of times faster than high pressure HCo(CO)4 or phosphine-modified HCo(CO)3(PR3) catalysts and operate at considerably lower pressures and temperatures. Also disclosed are methods of hydroformylation using the described transition metal complexes. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.

  • Publication number: 20220024067
Abstract: An Advanced Additive Construction device to extrude layers of cementitious material consistently and accurately with an anti-clogging method is disclosed. The device introduces low continuous frequency sonic vibrations with frequency range of 20- to 10000 Hz to slow cement or binding agents from curing the mixture inside the extruder and to get rid of air bubbles trapped in the mixture. Buildup of early cured mixtures inside the extruder tract especially in large volume or long period prints result in accumulation of material inside the extruder tract which causes extruder clogging. A shaker plate coupled with four miniature shakers excite the material mixture inside the extruder orthogonal to the inner casing direction. Furthermore, four more miniature shakers equipped with extension rods excite the material mixture inside the extruder orthogonal to the top mount, thereby preventing any cementitious material sticking within the extruder casing and around the central flight auger.
