At least a pair of electrodes along an inner surface of the electrode body are spaced axially apart from each other by a repeat distance that is functionally related to the diameter and that approximates a distance at which a given fascicle of a nerve, having the substantially the same diameter, periodically reconstitutes along an axial length of the nerve.
