  • Publication number: 20170155513
Abstract: Example apparatus and methods provide a device (e.g., smartphone) that is more secure for electronic commerce. An example device includes a trusted platform module (TPM) that stores a public key and a private key. The device is provisioned with account information, user information, and device information. The TPM uses the account, user, and device information to acquire attestation credentials and endorsement credentials. The device uses the account, user and device information along with the attestation credentials and endorsement credentials to acquire limited use keys (LUKs) that are encrypted with the public key. The LUKs will only be decrypted as needed to support an actual transaction at the time of the transaction. Before decrypting an LUK, the TPM will authenticate a user of the device at the time of the transaction using. for example, a personal identification number (PIN), fingerprint, or other personal information.

  • Publication number: 20170071561
Abstract: X-ray image data of an examination subject is acquired for an acquisition period by an X-ray detector of an X-ray system simultaneously with a decay process of a radioactive material taking place in or on the examination subject. The X-ray image data includes information relating to an X-ray attenuation distribution of the examination subject and information relating to the decay process. Correction image data representing the information relating to the decay process in the X-ray image data for the acquisition period is determined. Corrected X-ray image data for the acquisition period is generated using the X-ray image data and the correction image data.

  • Publication number: 20170070245
Abstract: Transients caused by load modulation can fee compensated far by adjusting pulse shapes. A radio frequency (RP) carrier signal can be modulated using load modulation. For the modulated RF carrier signal a particular pattern can be detected for a symbol period that precedes a second symbol that does not use load modulation. In response to the detecting, a pulse shape of the first symbol can be adjusted to mitigate the transients.

  • Patent number: 9160711
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for implementing a cleansing farm are presented. A cleansing farm may comprise of a computing device that filters customer requests directed to an organization before they are routed internal to the organization. A cleansing farm may receive customer requests and filter the requests based on a set of filtering rules. The cleansing farm may inspect the customer request in order to determine whether it should be filtered. In an example where the organization is a financial institution, the customer request may include confidential customer information. Accordingly, in this example, the cleansing farm may be administered by an entity that is permitted to access the confidential customer information. A visualization tool may be used to visualize a plurality of customer requests at a cleansing farm and to generate rules for filtering customer requests at a cleansing farm.

  • Publication number: 20150279066
Abstract: A method for processing an X-ray image of an object under examination taken with an X-ray detector with a plurality of pixel sensors is provided to remove bright-burn artifacts. At least one substantially artifact-free offset image of the X-ray detector without the application of X-rays is provided. At least one dark image with the X-ray detector without the application of X-rays is recorded. The at least one dark image is corrected by the at least one artifact-free offset image for determining at least one offset-corrected first correction image with afterglow artifacts. At least one second correction image for correcting bright-burn artifacts from the first correction image with afterglow artifacts is calculated using a, in particular predetermined, correlation between afterglow artifacts and bright-burn artifacts.

  • Patent number: 7905272
Abstract: A method for producing wide strips of copper is performed by pouring a molten liquid into a revolving wide strip mold via a distribution container and a pour nozzle. A surface of the molten metal in the distribution container is maintained at a constant level above the place where the pour nozzle is fixed in the distribution container in the range of 75 mm to 90 mm with respect to the level of the bath surface of the mold. The molten metal is guided by an ascending channel from the distribution container to the pour nozzle and is distributed within the pour nozzle symmetrically over a width corresponding to the width of the strip. Within the pour nozzle, the molten metal is guided through first and second flow restrictors and is separated into numerous small individual flows in a vertical direction over the entire strip width of the mold.
