  • Publication number: 20240113870
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable programs are provided for authentication of unencrypted message(s) transmitted between two devices of a power grid over a public communications network are provided. The authentication uses a quantum-based secret key and an initialization vector generated from a quantum random number to generate a payload for a transmission packet. The quantum-based secret key is shared between the transmitting device and the receiving device. When the receiving device receives the packet, the receiving device uses the shared quantum-based secret key and the initialization vector to verify whether the payload in the packet is authentic.

  • Patent number: 11919575
Abstract: A fiber composite body, in particular a structure stiffening element, has a number of struts which are formed by reinforcing fibers which are embedded in a polymer matrix and which in a region of the respective strut run substantially parallel to one another. The struts are arranged in a truss-like profiled structure which is produced by winding or intertwining the reinforcing fibers.

  • Patent number: 7905272
Abstract: A method for producing wide strips of copper is performed by pouring a molten liquid into a revolving wide strip mold via a distribution container and a pour nozzle. A surface of the molten metal in the distribution container is maintained at a constant level above the place where the pour nozzle is fixed in the distribution container in the range of 75 mm to 90 mm with respect to the level of the bath surface of the mold. The molten metal is guided by an ascending channel from the distribution container to the pour nozzle and is distributed within the pour nozzle symmetrically over a width corresponding to the width of the strip. Within the pour nozzle, the molten metal is guided through first and second flow restrictors and is separated into numerous small individual flows in a vertical direction over the entire strip width of the mold.
