Abstract: The invention relates to an oral insert for positioning between the outer faces of the teeth and the lips of a user, comprising a strip having a length and a width and an inner and outer face, wherein in the region of the longitudinal centre the longitudinal sides have an indentation. The oral insert further comprises at least one respiratory opening penetrating through the strip and a first and second bite projection which protrude from the inner face of the strip. The at least one respiratory opening is integrated in the first or second bite projection.
