  • Patent number: 10219327
Abstract: To determine the temperature of boiling water in an induction hob including induction heating coils which can be individually driven and which, in a common heating mode, form a cooking point for a cooking vessel containing water, the cooking vessel is positioned over at least two induction heating coils. The induction heating coils are operated in the heating mode to bring the water in the cooking vessel to boil and each induction heating coil heats that region of the cooking vessel base arranged above it. During the heating mode, the oscillation response at each induction heating coil is used to detect whether temperature of the region of the cooking vessel base above this induction heating coil increases. The induction heating coils are operated in the heating mode until one induction heating coil detects that the temperature gradient of the cooking vessel base above the induction heating coil has reached zero.

  • Patent number: 7172835
Abstract: The invention relates to an alkaline rechargeable battery for storing electrical energy having a positive electrode which, as the substrate material, has a nickel foam strip, a nickel strip or nickel-plated perforated or unperforated steel strip and a pasty active material, which is composed mainly of nickel hydroxide and contains particles of cobalt hydroxide, cobalt monoxide as well as a plastic binding agent, a negative electrode and a separator which is arranged between the electrodes, in a closed housing. As the conductive agent, the positive active material contains 9 to 20% by weight of a graphite mixture, which is composed of more that 70% of fibrous graphite with a fiber length of 10 to 35 ?m and a fiber diameter of 3 to 8 ?m, and, in addition to this, spherical graphite with a particle diameter d50 of 3 to 8 ?m.

  • Publication number: 20050245770
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing a polyetherol which comprises reacting at least one alkylene oxide with at least one starter compound in the presence of a catalyst of the formula I: M1p[M2qOn(OH)2(3?n)]x??(I), and to the polyetherols prepared by such a process and to their use for the synthesis of polyurethanes, as fuel additive or as surfactant.

  • Publication number: 20040249189
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the alkoxylation of organic compounds comprising the reaction of at least one organic compound with at least onealkoxylating agent in the presence of a catalyst system, wherein a polyetheralcohol is obtained. The catalyst system comprises a metallo organic framework mate-rial comprising pores and at least one metal ion and at least one at least bidentate organic compound, which is coordinately bounded to said metal ion. Furthermore it relates to polyurethanes or polyurethane foams, which are obtainable by using a prepared polyether alcohol as a starting material.
