  • Publication number: 20240352398
Abstract: A method of growing an extra-particle aerial mycelium employs electrostatically charged mist to control mist deposition uniformity in a growth environment, and on a growth matrix (or growing extra-particle aerial mycelium on a growth matrix) comprising nutritive substrate and a fungus in a growth environment with a predetermined environment of humidity, temperature, carbon dioxide, and oxygen. Control of mist deposition by electrostatically charging mist allows for control of the morphology and uniformity of the extra-particle aerial mycelium produced, independent of airflow uniformity, growth environment size, and structural obstacles that may be present within a growth environment. Control of mist deposition by electrostatically charging mist also offers the potential for targeted mist application where it might be needed most for fungal organism growth.

  • Patent number: 12016604
Abstract: An example method is provided for maintaining stability to an injury defined by a separation of two bones (e.g., the tibia and fibula), the separation being an injured distance greater than a pre-injury distance between the two bones in a first human patient. The method may include delivering a first apparatus for approximation of the two bones in the first human patient comprising the injury, the first apparatus including a flexible segment disposed between a first anchor and a second anchor. The method may further include maintaining, by the first apparatus, a restored distance between the two bones in the first human patient after a repetitive dynamic loading, the restored distance approximately equal to the pre-injury distance.

  • Patent number: 9929544
Abstract: The spark plug gapping tool comprises a clamp that provides a spark plug holder on a lower arm that is vertically aligned with a threaded shaft and a pressing foot on an upper arm. An inverted spark plug may be installed into the spark plug gapping tool from the bottom side of the lower arm. A mounting clip on the clamp allows a gap gauge to be removably coupled to the clamp and the gap gauge provides a calibrated arm of a specific thickness, which the spark plug gap is to match. A handle on the threaded shaft allows the threaded shaft to be turned, causing the threaded shaft to move up and down within a threaded shaft hole. Downward movement of the pressing foot against an electrode of the spark plug bends the electrode and sets the spark plug gap.
