Abstract: There are described plants of Papaver somniferum having reduced expression or activity of magnesium chelatase where-by the plants yield poppy straw having an altered alkaloid profile. In embodiments of the plants the reduced expression or activity of magnesium chelatase is associated with a trait for a lightened leaf colour. There are also described methods for producing the plants, and poppy straw, latex, concentrate of poppy straw and opium from the plants.

Abstract: There are provided plants of Papaver somniferum for the production of codeine, methods for providing the plants, and poppy straw, concentrate of poppy straw, latex, opium and codeine from the plants. The plants have codeine as the predominant alkaloid. Also disclosed are plants in which a stably inheritable high codeine chemotype trait is linked to a recessive trait for lighter leaf colour. Methods of producing such plants through the exposure of parent plant lines to mutagenizing agents are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing an hydraulic binder or thermoplastic binder containing product including the steps of impregnating the binder into a flexible open cell polymeric foam element by compressing the foam element to exclude air from the open cells and then releasing the compression with the foam elements whilst in contact with the binder so that the binder penetrates and becomes contained in the open cells of the foam elements as it regains its shape. Alternatively impregnating the binder into the foam element from one side under pressure so that the binder penetrates and becomes contained in the open cells of the foam and then allowing the binder to set or hardened and dry to form the product. The product is particularly suitable as a building element.

The image cards contain preselected representations of artwork images manipulated to a predetermined size, the mat cards are of a variety of colors and textures, the transparent cover can be non-glare or regular glass or plastic, and framing cards are each imprinted with representation of a frame. The user selects an image card, one or more mat cards, a protective cover, and a suitable frame card to view a representation of the custom framed image suitable for placing an order.

Abstract: A method of making a finished product includes the steps of providing a feedstock comprising a polymer component comprising 5 to 100 parts by weight of a polymer selected from the group consisting of polyethylene in particulate form, polyvinyl chloride in particulate form, and a mixture of polyethylene and polyvinyl chloride both in particulate form; 0 to 95 parts by weight of polystyrene in particulate form; an extender, and optionally reinforcing fibres or particles; mixing the feedstock with a thermosetting resin selected from an unsaturated polyester resin in liquid form and a catalyst for the polyester resin and an epoxy resin in liquid form and a catalyst for the epoxy resin; and subjecting the product to suitable conditions of temperature and pressure to cause the polyethylene and/or the polyvinyl chloride and the polystyrene, if present, to melt and the thermosetting resin to set to form the finished product, e.g a shutter board.

A pumpable cementitious slurry is formed, the slurry is mixed with a gas such as air, and is subjected to mechanically created turbulence to generate gas bubbles and create a foam, which preferably is stabilized by a foam stabilizing agent such as polyvinyl alcohol present in the slurry. The foam is then conveyed to a nozzle or other suitable dispense point from which it is applied, for example sprayed, preferably uniformly, onto a substrate to be coated. Prior to dispensing, a set accelerator is preferably injected, which causes the foam to gel, which in turn improves the hangability of the product on a substrate. The spray material adheres to the substrate and hardens to form an insulative coating on the substrate.
