  • Patent number: 11682162
Abstract: A system, method or compute program product for generating stereoscopic images. One of the methods includes identifying, in a first three-dimensional coordinate system of a first three-dimensional virtual environment, a location and orientation of a first virtual object that is a virtual stereoscopic display object; identifying an eyepoint pair in the first virtual environment; identifying, in a second three-dimensional coordinate system of a second three-dimensional virtual environment, a location and orientation of a second virtual object that is in the second virtual environment; for each eyepoint of the eyepoint pair, rendering an inferior image of the second virtual object; for each eyepoint of the eyepoint pair, render a superior image of the first virtual environment, comprising rendering, in the superior image for each eyepoint, the corresponding inferior image onto the virtual stereoscopic display object; and display, on a physical stereoscopic display, the first virtual environment.

  • Patent number: 8933948
Abstract: Analyzing an application executing on a target device. An application may be executed on a target device. Low cost measurement may be gathered regarding the application executing on the target device. In response to a trigger, high cost measurement data may be gathered regarding the application executing on the target device. The high cost measurement data may include graphics commands provided by the application. The graphics commands and related information may be stored and provided to a host. The host may modify the graphics commands to perform experiments to determine performance issues of the application executing on the target device. The host may determine whether the performance is limited by the CPU or the GPU and may determine specific operations that are causing performance issues. The host may provide suggestions for overcoming the performance issues.

  • Patent number: 5276786
Abstract: A video graphics system in which an effect can be produced in selected portions of a image held in a first store. Image data in the first store relating to a user defined area of interest in the image is copied to a second store and processed in accordance with a user selected function. The area of interest is selected by the user by magnifying and shifting a displayed representation of the image so that the area of interest is displayed and then selecting a locking function which retains parameters associated with the shifting and magnifying of the displayed image. Once the image data relating to the area of interest has been processed it can be painted onto the image held in the first store to produce the desired effect. By processing only the selected area of interest the speed of processing is increased.
