  • Publication number: 20080127541
Abstract: A fishing lure which is comprised of a jig head with a hook being attached to the jig head, and an eyelet being attached to the jig head. A shank is attached to the jig head which is substantially parallel to the hook. The shank has a proximal end and a distal end. An arcuate barb is located on the shank between the proximal end and the distal end.

  • Publication number: 20080115403
Abstract: An elastomeric fishing lure comprising a body having a Shore OO hardness of 10-20. The body is comprised of an oil, where the oil is 79-84% by weight of the body and a styrenic block copolymer which is 14 to 21% by weight of the body. This styrenic block copolymer is selected from the group of: SBS (styrene butadiene styrene), SIS (styrene-isoprene-styrene), SEPS (styrene ethylene/propylene styrene), SEBS (styrene ethylene/butylene styrene), and SEEPS (styrene ethylene/ethylene-propylene-styrene) and combinations thereof. The body may also have an additive selected from the group of: anti-oxidants, heat stabilizers, oxidation inhibitors; in an amount from 0 to 5% by weight.

  • Publication number: 20040261309
Abstract: A fishing lure or bait is a shaped body of a gelatinous elastomeric composition. The gelatinous elastomeric composition is made from a styrenic block copolymer and an oil mixture of a first oil and a second oil. The first oil has a viscosity and the second oil has a viscosity. The viscosity of the first oil is greater than the viscosity of the second oil. The second oil is in excess of the first oil.

  • Patent number: 6418659
Abstract: A fishing lure skirt is prepared from a flat blank of cured elastomer having a head and trailing filaments. A strip of solid, tacky uncured elastomer is applied to the head, and the head is wrapped around a cylindrical mandrel, with the uncured strip facing outwardly to form a tubular head. The uncured strip is then cured by the application of heat.
