  • Publication number: 20230008526
Abstract: A plunger lift lubricator having an internal bypass configuration which enables a plunger to be reliably captured and while still allowing the flow of fluid up through the lubricator before the fluid is directed radially outward and down the internal bypass passageways. The lubricator can comprise both an upper flow path and a lower flow path and can be configured such that a plunger can travel all the way up to shift a valve in the plunger if needed.

  • Publication number: 20230009014
Abstract: A strong connection that ensures alignment between components and which is capable of being used for high-pressure applications. The connection is held together with one or more pins that are positioned tangentially along the interfacing plane of the components and which pins are positioned such that they are placed in sheer along a significant portion of their length instead of merely across their diameter. The pins can be held in place with one or more structures, which can include threaded fasteners, to prevent the pins from being inadvertently removed.

  • Publication number: 20090146391
Abstract: A bicycle frame design using plate frame structural elements for a high performance, full suspension bicycle having the ability to fold up in a package of compact size is provided. The main frame is formed by opposed plate frame elements (1, 2), patterned in the ergonomic dimensions and component arrangements therefrom used for contemporary mountain bikes. The patterned plate frame elements (1, 2) are cut from plate stock in a way that locates and mounts the operative elements in positions required for bike function. Such plate frame structure is of modular, lightweight, and weldless construction. A mechanically simple, lightweight rear shock absorbing system (7, 8, 9) is incorporated. The design routes cables in an internal arrangement, separating them from rider or other attached components or accessories on the inboard side of the plate frame structure. Overall geometry and dimensions of the configuration are adjustable to provide a universal fit for riders of various sizes.

  • Patent number: 7429934
Abstract: A mud pulse landing assembly (10) which allows for the removal of the mud pulse generator (16) containing the mud pulse orifice (106), thus creating an unobstructed passageway for any tool or instrumentation that may need to be passed through the drill string. The retainer (14) of the mud pulse landing assembly also provides a universal mount for engaging alternate tools or instrumentation for use in analyzing the borehole geology. The retainer (14) is positioned between the mud pulse generator (16) and the landing sub body, so as to protect the retainer from the turbulent and abrasive mud flow, and to prevent obstruction of the area downstream of the compact muleshoe (60).

  • Patent number: 7088260
Abstract: A communication method for retrieving stored data from an MWD tool, through an antenna used for conventional EM data telemetry. The method comprises establishing electrical contact between a surface transceiver and an EM data telemetry antenna upon retrieval to the surface. The MWD tool then transfers data through the antenna, the data being received by the surface transceiver. Also provided is an electrical isolation connector subassembly comprising an electrically insulative coating to electrically isolate the splitsub components, thereby forming the antenna for data transfer and EM data telemetry.

  • Patent number: 6367323
Abstract: A drill string section for use in making up a drill string for oil and gas drilling carries instrumentation for measurement and logging while drilling. The instrumentation includes a dynamic pressure device for measuring drill string bore pressure of incoming pressurized fluid and drill string annular pressure of returned pressurized fluid. The drill string section comprises a length of drill string pipe having a bore defined by an inner surface of a wall which has an outer surface. The instrumentation is provided in an elongate cylindrical tool shell. The outer surface of the tool shell has spaced apart seals which engage the inside surface of a cylindrical landing sleeve in the pipe bore. The seals are located in the sleeve on either side of communicating port(s) in the drill pipe wall, forming a leak tight annular region that eventually communicates through appropriate ports to a pressure transducer.
