    Abstract: A tool for spreading high tension springs used in the brakes of heavy equipment is provided. This tool spreads at least a portion of a high tension spring by squeezing the handles together by hand thereby separating the arms. This is the opposite of what happens when the handles of standard pliers are squeezed together.
