Abstract: A passenger compartment divider for a motor vehicle comprising a substantially flexible barrier. A flexible frame extends about perimeter of the barrier. An air-filled support cushion surrounds the flexible frame. A facility is for inflating the support cushion. When the barrier with the flexible frame is positioned vertically behind front seats of the passenger compartment in the motor vehicle and the support cushion is filled by the inflating facility, a seal is produced to make a secure fit between the rear portion and front portion of the passenger compartment, to allow the front seat area to heat or cool in less than half of the normal time required.
