  • Publication number: 20260160324
Abstract: A seal assembly for an industrial transmission includes a vertically aligned lower power shaft to exchange torque with the industrial transmission, and a transmission component arranged radially outside the power shaft. The power shaft has a greater rotational speed than the transmission component during operation. A contactless first seal between the transmission component and the power shaft includes a conical first sealing gap, which is beveled in a direction of gravity and runs from radially outside to radially inside counter to the direction of gravity. A first overflow channel runs downward to at least a large extent in the direction of gravity and communicates with the first sealing gap. The first overflow channel ends below the first sealing gap in the direction of gravity and is embodied as an annular gap with a substantially constant flow cross section such as to avoid formation of a labyrinth seal.

  • Patent number: 12638073
Abstract: A planetary gear unit apparatus, in particular for an industrial gear unit, for example in the case of a vertical orientation of a drive train, includes a planetary carrier, a gear unit housing, at least one nozzle provided in/on the gear unit housing and designed to feed an oil medium, and planetary gears coupled to the planetary carrier. Each planetary gear includes an eccentrically arranged and axially running feed channel for oil medium. At least one nozzle is provided in an oil-communicating relation/arrangement with respect to the feed channel or to a corresponding circulating diameter of the feed channels. The planetary gears circulate in planetary ring gear supported in the gear unit housing.

  • Patent number: 10677331
Abstract: A vertical mill gearbox includes a drive shaft mounted in a casing for rotation about a rotation axis, and an intermediate shaft configured as a hollow shaft and mounted in the casing for rotation about a vertical second rotation axis. The intermediate shaft has a bevel gear meshing with a bevel-gear pinion of the drive shaft. A torsion shaft is received in fixed rotative engagement with the intermediate shaft and sized to extend beyond the intermediate shaft to define a projecting section to which a sun gear rotatably driven via the intermediate shaft is fixed. A planet carrier is mounted in the casing for rotation about the second rotation axis and rotatably supports an internal gear having an internal tooth system. Mounted to the planet carrier is a rotatable planet gear which meshes with the sun gear and with the internal tooth system of the internal gear.

  • Patent number: 10550930
Abstract: A planet carrier arrangement includes a bearing assembly having first and second roller bearings and a traction element having a first end supported by the bearing assembly such as to enable the traction element to oscillate. A planet carrier is mounted in a suspended manner to the traction element, wherein one of the roller bearings of the bearing assembly is configured to absorb an axial force seeking to lift the planet carrier.
