  • Patent number: 11678974
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing an intraocular lens, including the steps of providing a container which is transparent to electromagnetic radiation and in which a liquid that is curable by the electromagnetic radiation is arranged; irradiating the liquid with a set of images formed by the electromagnetic radiation, which each depict an intraocular lens, with each of the images of the set being radiated into the liquid at a different angle of incidence with respect to a reference plane that extends through the liquid, as a result of which the liquid is cured and the cured liquid forms the intraocular lens, an actuator, a solar module and/or a sensor being arranged in the liquid and the intraocular lens being formed around the actuator, the solar module and/or the sensor.

  • Publication number: 20220401629
Abstract: An ophthalmological composition includes at least one viscoelastic polymer, wherein the composition comprises at least one thermoresponsive compound that in a predefined wavelength range undergoes a temperature-dependent discontinuous change in at least one physical property from a group color and transmittance. The disclosure further relates to such an ophthalmological composition wherein a temperature-dependent change in the at least one physical property is reversible and/or wherein the temperature-dependent change in the at least one physical property occurs within not more than 10 seconds after a predefined temperature threshold value has been exceeded.

  • Publication number: 20210267752
Abstract: Provided are ophthalmological implants comprising an active ingredient release system which, when the ophthalmological implant is implanted, delivers at least one pharmacological active ingredient, the active ingredient release system comprising at least one hydrogel as a matrix, the hydrogel forming a layer on an optical portion of the implant, binding covalently to the optical portion and being charged with the at least one active ingredient. Also provided are methods for producing the ophthalmological implant comprising the active ingredient release system.

  • Patent number: 10898619
Abstract: The present invention relates to an ocular device for regulating intraocular fluid pressure comprising or consisting of a tubular body wherein the inner surface of the tubular body or the inner and outer surface is/are coated with covalently immobilized hyaluronic acid (HA). In more specific embodiments, the tubular body comprises or consists of a biocompatible material selected from the group comprising a biocompatible metal such as titanium, ceramics, glass, polymers and composites thereof, and the immobilized hyaluronic acid molecules are linked with further HA molecules to form a HA hydrogel. The ocular device is a stent free from mechanical valves or other mechanical means for actively regulating the flow of intraocular fluid.

  • Patent number: 6091608
Abstract: A method and apparatus for attaching a set of components to a printed circuit board is presented. A second board includes the set of components to be attached to the printed circuit board. The second board attaches directly to the printed circuit board by attaching to pins of a through hole device, such as an application specific integrated circuit. The through hole device is mounted on one side of the printed circuit board. The through hole device includes pins which protrude to the other side of the printed circuit board. The second board attaches to the protruding pins on the other side of the printed circuit board.
