  • Patent number: 11543119
Abstract: A portable diffused lighting system is disclosed. The lighting system includes a collapsible containment and a light source. The containment includes a perimeter wall, a first end, and a light diffuser, with the first end including the light diffuser, with the containment being disposable in a collapsed configuration and at least one expanded configuration, and with a maximum expanded configuration for the containment providing a maximum spacing of no more than about 4 inches between the light source and the light diffuser. The light source projects within an interior of the collapsible containment, and diffused light is output from the containment through the light diffuser. The lighting system may include a connector for detachably mounting the lighting system to a computer display panel. The lighting system may also include a boom stand, and the noted connector may also detachably mount the containment to the boom stand.

  • Publication number: 20220043731
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and techniques to identify a cause of a performance regression in a web-based service. In at least one embodiment, a cause of a performance regression is identified by comparing performance metrics associated with a first group of user interactions with a web-based service to performance metrics associated with a second group of user interactions with the web-based service.

  • Patent number: 9988977
Abstract: A turbocharger (10) includes a shaft (26) rotatably supported within a bearing housing (28), a turbine wheel (22) connected to the shaft (26), and a heat shield (150, 250) disposed between the turbine wheel (22) and the bearing housing (28). The heat shield (150, 250) includes surface features (80, 180) formed on at least one of a sidewall (57) portion thereof and a flange (63) portion thereof that locate the heat shield (150, 250) relative to the bearing housing (28) such that the heat shield (150, 250) is coaxial with the rotational axis of the shaft (26).

  • Patent number: 9068499
Abstract: A flow direction system (200) for a turbocharger (1) or other fluid impeller device is provided that can reduce swirl or turbulence of exhaust gases being supplied to a turbine rotor (4). The system (200) uses one or more ribs (250) or fins that extend from an inner surface (110) of an inlet (100) of the turbine housing (2) and that can be integrally formed with the inlet (100). The ribs (250) can be diametrically opposed along the inner surface (110) and can extend less than half way across the inlet (100). The ribs (250) can have chamfered leading or trailing edges to reduce drag.

  • Patent number: 8376721
Abstract: A turbocharger is provided having a bearing housing (100) and a heat shield (200) staked thereto. The staking process can be a compression staking process that deforms one or more portions of the bearing housing (100). The bearing housing (100) can have an annular channel (150) and the compression staking can be done to an outer edge (160) of the annular channel (150) to form one or more compression projections (400). The size and shape of the annular channel (150) can be substantially the same as the size and shape of an outer portion of the heat shield (200) to allow for a press-fit therebetween.
