  • Publication number: 20040167018
Abstract: The invention relates to catalysts allowing for C—C or C—N coupling, their manufacture and use, said catalysts having the formula I wherein (I) R1 and R2 with R3 and R4 and R5 and R6, and the binding atoms are quinolylene; (ii) R3 and R4 with R5 and R6 and R7 and R8, and the binding atoms are naphtylene; (iii) R3 and R4 with R5 and R6 and R7 and R8, and the binding atoms are phenylene, (iv) R5 and R6, with R7 and R8, and the binding atoms are phenylene; or (v) R1 and R2, with R3 and R4, and the binding atoms are pyridylene, while R5 and R6, with R7 and R8, and the binding atoms are phenylene; where the rings may in each case be unsubstituted or substituted; the remaining radicals of R1 to R8 are hydrogen or an organic group; dotted lines in formula I represent absent or present bonds; X is an anionic ligand; and L is a tertiary phosphine moiety.

  • Publication number: 20030212170
Abstract: The invention describes novel compounds of the formula (I) wherein the general symbols are as defined in claim (1) and R1 is an aromatic radical with electron withdrawing substituents, as stabilizers for protecting organic materials, in particular polymers and lubricants, against oxidative, thermal or light-induced degradation and as scavengers for oxidized developer in color photographic material.

  • Publication number: 20030139497
Abstract: A mixture of a polyester, such as poly(ethylene terephthalate) PET, or a polyamide, and a suitable stabilizer selected from the group consisting of hydroxylamine stabilizers, substituted hydroxylamine stabilizers, nitrone stabilizers and amine oxide stabilizers, when extrusion compounded exhibits a lower residual acetaldehyde content than does polyester or polyamide alone when similarly treated. The invention pertains to any polyester or polyamide used in the manufacture of molded articles, fibers or films, for instance bottles or containers which are used to store consumer materials, for example food, beverages and water.
    Type: Application
