Abstract: A device for folding a multi-sheet paper article that includes conveyor means for conveying the paper article in a direction of conveyance (F1), folding members for pushing the paper article to the conveyor means, guides, which are arranged on either side of the folding members for enveloping the paper article around the folding members, wherein the folding members define folding ridges which, as seen in the direction of conveyance, run side by side and thereby in the direction of conveyance define a gap between the folding ridges. Therein, as seen in the direction of conveyance, a width (b, b?, b?, b??) of the gap between the folding ridges progressively narrows.
