Abstract: A sheet material (1) consisting of an mixture consisting essentially of: a) 10-50 percent by weight of random-oriented fibres, and; b) 90-50 percent by weight of a thermoplastic or thermoplastic elastomer; the weight percentages being based on the overall homogeneous mixture; and the sheet material having at room temperature a Shore D hardness of 40 to 85, preferably of 40 to 60, more preferably of 45 to 55. The sheet material (1) is used as a support in punching applications or as the top layer in punching belts (2).

Abstract: A computer-implemented method performs volumetric modeling of objects in a space captured by a plurality of cameras to determine which of a plurality of camera images contains an image that facilitates pattern recognition. The camera images that contain an image that facilitates pattern recognition are then used to perform pattern recognition.

Abstract: Provided are a computer-implemented system and method for generating real-time store sales data. Sales data is stored regarding items located at multiple retail stores. A user may enter a store with a mobile electronic device. The mobile electronic device accesses sales data pertaining to sales of at least one preselected target item in each of the multiple stores. Generated from the sales data is a sales analysis report in real-time on the mobile electronic device. The sales data of the store accessed in real-time is compared with comparable sales data of other stores.

Abstract: A method of testing a voltage protection device in a circuit is provided. The circuit comprises a source and load and a detector is provided in parallel with the protection device. The method comprises opening a switching device provided in the circuit. The method further comprises detecting a property of a voltage spike caused by the rate of change of current in the circuit inductance produced by the opening of the switching device to determine the condition of the protection device.

Abstract: A parking brake system for a work vehicle may include an internal braking mechanism and an external brake actuator. The brake actuator may generally include a housing at least partially defining a rod-side chamber, a secondary chamber and a piston-side chamber extending between the rod-side and secondary chambers. The brake actuator may also include a primary piston movable between a first position at which the braking mechanism is actuated to an engaged state and a second position at which the braking mechanism is actuated to a disengaged state. In addition, the brake actuator may include a secondary piston at least partially housed within the secondary chamber that is configured to apply a force against the primary piston when fluid is supplied within the secondary chamber in order to move the primary piston from the first position to the second position.

The current passes through the activated switching device and is measurable to test whether the activated switching device is operating correctly.

Abstract: A method and system increase processed specimen yield in the laser processing of target material that includes multiple specimens formed on a common substrate. Preferred embodiments implement a feature that enables storage in the laser processing system a list of defective specimens that have somehow been subject to error during laser processing. Once the common substrate has been completely processed, the system alerts an operator to the number of improperly processed specimens and gives the operator an opportunity to run a software routine, which in a preferred embodiment uses a laser to scribe a mark on the top surface of each improperly processed specimen.

Abstract: A system, method and device for managing requests for services by a communication device in a communication network are provided. The method comprises: receiving a request for a service provided through the communication network; determining whether an account associated with the device has all features required to access the service; when the all features are not provided by the account displaying a first message on a display of the device indicating that access to the service is denied for the device, identifying alternative accounts for the network, displaying a second message on the display listing the alternative accounts and when a selection is provided of a selected account from the alternative accounts, sending a request to an account manager to update the account to the selected account for the device; and when the selected account is activated for the device providing access to the service.

Abstract: Data is received that characterizes a plurality of procedures for a single event. Thereafter, one or more dynamically determined groups are associated with the plurality of procedures, the dynamically determined groups being generated from similarity metrics derived from a plurality of historical procedures for a plurality of historical events. A likelihood of the plurality of procedures being associated with the single event can then be determined based on the associated one or more dynamically determined groups. Abstract: Data characterizing one or more healthcare insurance claims is received. Each claim comprises variables characterizing aspects of a healthcare service for which reimbursement is sought. The healthcare services being initiated by a single healthcare service provider for a single patient. Thereafter, score variables from the variables of the healthcare insurance claims are generated. Based on these score variables, it is determined whether a presence of one or more of the variables in more than one of the healthcare insurance claims is indicative of fraud or error based on levels of co-occurrence of the one or more pairs of variables in historical healthcare insurance claims being initiated by a single healthcare service provider. Subsequently, notification that the one or more of the healthcare insurance claims are indicative of fraud based on a positive determination is initiated (to allow, for example, a user to manually review the healthcare insurance claims, etc.).
