  • Patent number: 5471711
Abstract: With a process and a device full cans taken from the storage device for the storage of cans are replaced by empty cans. The storage device is displaced for the reception and the removal of the can. As required, an empty can holding space, an empty can, or a full can is brought to a can grasping device. The device is a carriage with a storage device. Empty or full cans are arranged on the carriage in such manner that the empty cans are deposited at one end of the carriage. The full cans are deposited at the other end of the carriage.

  • Patent number: 5450656
Abstract: A flat can for receiving textile fiber slivers deposited therein while a jigging motion is imparted thereto comprises can sides defining an upper can bead at the top thereof. A can plate is configured to be vertically movable within the can sides between an empty position and a full position. In the empty position the can plate is at a height lower than the upper can bead. The can plate may comprise a rim around the circumference thereof which has a top generally adjacent to the upper can bead when the can plate is at the empty position. The rim may include oppositely facing incline surfaces at the ends thereof. The can sides may also include stops defined on the inner surface thereof. The stops serve to define the upper limit of travel of the can plate within the can.

  • Patent number: 5412845
Abstract: The invention is a process and a device for the jigging of a flat can in a textile draw frame. According to the invention, the flat can is subjected to different dynamic moments in the translational movement along the jigging path. It is a characteristic of the invention that the speed is regularly modified in proximity of the reversal points (P1, P2), i.e. in the area of the reversal paths (UW1, UW2). The jigging device is provided with a driving device which renders the constant translational movement changeable in proximity of the reversal point (P1, P2). The driving device may be a servomotor controlled by a computer which serves as the control device. In another embodiment the diving device is a different, less expensive electric motor on the drive shaft of which belt pulleys capable of being coupled are installed.

  • Patent number: 5402355
Abstract: The instant invention relates to a process and to devices to convey textile goods from a receiving point to a point of deposit as well as for reception and deposit of the goods by means of a traveling vehicle. The goods to be conveyed are readied at the receiving points and are entered by a central computer. A conveying command is then elaborated by the central computer and is transmitted to a computing unit of the vehicle. The conveying vehicle is equipped with equipment for the autonomous and active execution of the conveying command. Upon completion of the conveying command, the vehicle reports back to the central computer. The conveyed goods are deposited in a sorted state.

  • Patent number: 5343686
Abstract: A process for introducing a fiber sliver into a fiber processing machine which has an openable sliver feeding device and a sliver introduction funnel and a sliver injector, comprising the following steps: opening the openable sliver feeding device, grasping the leading end of the sliver pneumatically into and through the sliver introduction funnel and into the opened feeding device and closing the sliver feeding device on the sliver. The invention also includes a device for carrying out the process.

  • Patent number: 5310040
Abstract: A process and a device is provided for the positioning of bobbins which are delivered by a conveying device and are tilted from a conveyed position into a position from which they can be picked up by a grasper. Provisions are made for the bobbins to be brought into the desired position for pickup by the grasper. For this, further provisions are made for the tilting action to be triggered by the bobbin which is running up against a tilting surface and for the bobbin to be brought up against a stop so that the predetermined position is achieved.

  • Patent number: 5276947
Abstract: A process for the transportation of cans between machines processing fiber slivers by means of a can conveying device. The latter is loaded and unloaded simultaneously in one position at a machine or storage facility. The cans are inspected during their transportation between two such machines. In this process, the cans in which fiber sliver remnants remain, are emptied. The route of the can conveying device constitutes a transportation system consisting of three interconnected can circuits, whereby a first can circuit comprises two such machines and the other two can circuits each comprise one of these machines and the can storage facility. The can shifting device, to load and unload the can conveying device is equipped with a grasping device to grasp the can and with a lifting device to lift up the grasped can.
