Patent number: 8091134Abstract: A system, method, and program product is provided that communicates virus information between a computer that detects a virus in a file (the detecting computer system) and the computer that sent the infected file (the infected computer system). When the infected computer system sends an infected file to the detecting computer system the detecting computer system detects the virus in the infected file, retrieves virus information corresponding to the virus (such as the name of the infected file, the identifier, or name, of the virus, the virus definitions used to identify the virus, and any instructions needed to eradicate the virus), and automatically sends the virus information back to the infected computer system over the network.Type: GrantFiled: November 29, 2006Date of Patent: January 3, 2012Assignee: Lenovo (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.Inventors: Farrel David Benton, Shane Christopher Branch, Robert J. Kapinos, Raymond G. Octaviano, II, Alberto Jose Rojas Saba, James C. Publication number: 20110055627Abstract: A first device captures session data for each application session that is executing on a first device, and provides the session data to a second device in order for the second device to reconstruct the application sessions. A first device identifies one or more application sessions currently executing on the first device. Each of the application sessions include a media object and session data, which includes a media object identifier that corresponds to the media object and a first device media session position. The first device captures the session data transmits the captured session data to one or more second devices. The second devices are adapted to reconstruct at least one of the application sessions using the received session data and positions the application sessions at a second device media session position that corresponds to the received first device media session position.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 2, 2009Publication date: March 3, 2011Inventors: Jennifer Greenwood Zawacki, Justin Tyler Dubs, Howard Jeffrey Locker, Julie Anne Morris, Steven Richard Perrin, Axel Ramirez Flores, James Joseph Thrasher, Sean Michael Ulrich

Publication number: 20090170521Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and systems are disclosed for pairing a first wireless device with a second wireless device and establishing an identifier. The first wireless device transmits to the second wireless device from the first wireless device with the identifier. The first wireless device shares the identifier with a third wireless device. This allows the third device to transmit to the second wireless device appearing as the first wireless device. The first wireless device stops transmitting while the third wireless device transmits. Since the third wireless device used the identifier for the first wireless device, the second wireless device believes is communicating with the first wireless device.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 27, 2007Publication date: July 2, 2009Inventors: Justin Tyler Dubs, James Joseph Thrasher, Michael Terrell Vanover, Steven Richard Perrin, Sean Michael Ulrich

Publication number: 20080047848Abstract: A contact lens package includes a first housing member and a second housing member pivotably connected to each other. The package also includes a holding mechanism for holding a contact lens and a receiving mechanism for receiving contact lens solution. When the housing members are in a substantially co-planar orientation, the holding mechanism is positioned within the receiving mechanism. When the housing members are in a non-planar orientation, the holding mechanism is removed from the receiving mechanism such that the holding mechanism is pivotable from a closed position, in which the contact lens held in the holding mechanism is inaccessible to a user, toward an open position, in which the contact lens held in the holding mechanism is accessible to the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 20, 2006Publication date: February 28, 2008Inventors: Michael Tokarski, James Peck, Edward Dzwill, George Brock, James Davis, Roger Smith, Michael Ulrich

Patent number: 7262603Abstract: A system and method for sensing the formation of tin whiskers is presented. An assembly substrate includes whisker detectors at various locations for detecting tin whiskers in an X direction, a Y direction, and a Z direction relative to the assembly substrate. Each whisker detector includes sense traces and a trace bridge that produce “planar gaps” and “orthogonal gaps” that are smaller than trace gaps produced by other traces on the assembly substrate. As such, tin whiskers short across the planar gaps and orthogonal gaps before they short across trace gaps. When the assembly substrate is finished with processing steps, a system tester performs a continuity test on the whisker detectors. When the continuity test fails, an operator is notified to check for tin whiskers on the assembly substrate. Once shipped, a processor monitors the whisker detectors for shorts throughout the product's lifecycle.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 2006Date of Patent: August 28, 2007Assignee: Lenovo (Singapore) Pte. LtdInventors: Farrel David Benton, Shane Christopher Branch, Robert J. Kapinos, Alberto Jose Rojas, James Stephen Rutledge, James C. Salembier, Simon David Nicholas Taylor, Sean Michael Ulrich
