  • Publication number: 20080152802
Abstract: A method for cleaning, method and device for the application of a protective medium to a turbine blade, and a method for placing cooling bores in a turbine blade is disclosed. For this purpose, hot supercritical carbon dioxide is used as a tempering and/or cleaning medium and compressed and decompressed one or more successive times. The cleaning medium is decompressed to a pressure at which the gas assumes a volume that is a multiple of the volume of the compressed cleaning medium in the pressure tank. In so doing, it is possible to remove particulate and other impurities, even from recesses, blind holes, or open hollow spaces.

  • Patent number: 7282813
Abstract: A system having input terminals including line and neutral terminals for receiving AC power from a first AC source and having output terminals including output line and neutral terminals for receiving AC power from output terminals of a second AC source and for supplying AC power to a load, has a transfer switch configurable to connect the input terminals to the output terminals or to isolate the input terminals from the output terminals. When the transfer switch is configured to isolate the output terminals from the input terminals, the second AC source is caused to cease supplying power to the output terminals when after phase shifting the voltage produced by the second source the voltage at the input terminals is in-phase with that voltage.

  • Patent number: 6021052
Abstract: A DC link power converter apparatus including a first DC to DC converter, a DC to AC converter and a load balancing storage element. The first DC to DC converter has first and second DC ports and the DC to AC converter has a third DC port and has an AC port. The first DC port is connectable to a DC source and the second DC port is connected to the third DC port. The AC port is connectable to an AC load. The load balancing energy storage element is connected to the second DC port for decoupling the DC to DC converter from the DC to AC converter by supplying energy to the third DC port when a voltage at the second DC port is tending to decrease and for storing energy received from the second DC port when a voltage at the third port is tending to increase.

  • Patent number: 5632481
Abstract: The invention relates to a blade for an indoor bandy stick, comprising a top-edge reinforcing rib (5), a bottom-edge reinforcing rib (6) and therebetween a number of reinforcing ribs (7, 9) which lie lengthwise of the blade and are spaced from each other so as to form open spaces between the lengthwise ribs (5, 6, 7, 9). The interspace between the mid-section reinforcing ribs (7) is located at the distance of a radius (D/2) of a ball (3) from the bottom edge of a blade (12). Thus, the ball hits the reinforcing ribs at more than one point along the ball surface. One or both sides of the blade can be concave.

  • Patent number: 5348346
Abstract: The invention relates to a ski stick, which comprises a hollow reinforced-plastic profile (10). In the inventive ski stick, a profile wall (11) contains at least one longitudinally extending reinforcement element (13), which is at least partially embedded in the manufacturing step of the profile (10) in the wall structure (11) as an integral part thereof. The reinforcement element (13) may extend along the entire length of the reinforced-plastic profile or partially along its length, and its cross-sectional form may be circular or longitudinal or angular, e.g. triangular.

  • Patent number: 5158806
Abstract: A method for impregnating fibre bundles with molten or liquid resin in manufacturing a fibre-reinforced material, which material comprises one or more fibre bundles, wherein each fibre is surrounded by matrix resin, by impregnating a continuous web (10;10a) of one or more fibre bundles with molten or liquid resin (32, 33) and solidifying the resin by cooling or chemical reaction. During the impregnation the molten or liquid resin (35) material is made subject to shear forces by bringing it between two closely nearby surfaces (10;10a, 36;37) which are in moving relationship to each other.

  • Patent number: 5108797
Abstract: A method is disclosed for impregnating fibre bundles with molten or liquid resin (24, 29) in manufacturing a fibre-reinforced material, which material comprises fibre bundle or bundled groups of fibres, wherein each fibre is surrounded by matrix resin, by impregnating a continuous web (10, 10a) of one or more fibre bundles with molten or liquid resin (24, 29) and solidifying said resin by cooling or chemical reaction. Before said impregnation the molten or liquid resin material (29) is made subject to shear forces by bringing it to flow between two closely nearby surfaces (26, 27) which are in moving relationship into each other.
