  • Publication number: 20190216019
Abstract: A trimmer for trimming around a sprinkler head includes: an annular blade member defining an annular region inside the annular blade member, the annular blade member being sized so as to surround the sprinkler head in close proximity thereto; a support member coupled to the annular blade member without blocking an extended annular region extending upward from the annular region for a distance sufficient to accommodate a user's foot; and a handle coupled to the support member. The annular blade member and support member define a foot pressure surface. The annular blade member includes two opposing blades. Each of the two opposing blades includes two curved edges, the two curved edges meeting at a point of the blade.

  • Publication number: 20140026178
Abstract: Described herein is a video display arrangement in which a video signal from a video source is intercepted and, in response to a command from a user, a desired video signal is obtained by at least one of substituting a different video signal for the video signal from the video source and augmenting the video signal from the video source to add interactivity information for display to the user. The desired video signal is applied to a display device and displayed to the user. The arrangement may use a smart cable or a small accessory.

  • Publication number: 20060277207
Abstract: The present invention, generally speaking, provides a visual email analytics tool in which a network graph is created without the need to identify any particular node of the network graph. The complexity of the network graph is controlled by interactively pruning the network graph based on one or more measures of relatedness, such as the number of emails exchanged, clustering attributes, etc. Node-by-node pruning is also provided for. A privilege/consent system governs the viewing of emails. The tool enables a user to quickly and easily identify the relevant players and activities with respect to a particular subject.

  • Publication number: 20060160579
Abstract: The present invention, generally speaking, provides for a “ring tone suite” in which multiple related ring tones are downloaded together, and different ones of those ring tones may be used to announce successive calls. In one embodiment, the ring tones are “themed,” and have informational and/or entertainment content distinct from that of a simple melody. The ring tones may be updated over-the-air or over-the-wire on a regular basis. For example, each ring tone may be a sports highlight excerpted from a broadcast of a recent sporting event. Numerous other examples of ring tone suites will be readily apparent, for example non-sports news highlights, quotable quotes, etc.

  • Publication number: 20060116135
Abstract: Touch typing on a telephone keypad is achieved by representing each letter as a combination of two separate symbols appearing on separate keys of a keypad. The keys may be operated by using the thumbs of both hands. In one embodiment, six symbols appearing on six separate keys are used to represent all of the letters A-Z. The six keys may be grouped together or may be split apart with one portion arranged on one side of a device display and another portion arranged on an opposite side of the display. Input may be accelerated in various ways using multiple key presses at the same time.

  • Publication number: 20050289016
Abstract: The present invention, generally speaking, provides for a personal electronic repository, or electronic “shoebox,” that receives electronic information from disparate sources and automatically organizes that information in such a way as to enable the owner to readily view the collection of electronic information, find a desired piece of information, act upon a piece of information, etc., all in a secure and controlled way. As opposed to email, which is episodic in nature, the personal electronic repository is thematic in nature. Furthermore, as opposed to personal information management, which is factual in nature, the personal electronic repository is well-suited for information that is transactional in nature. A further characteristic of the shoebox is its long-term nature. Email can be archived, but few individuals expend a concerted effort towards that goal. Personal information management records are fleeting—when a user changes a calendar item or ticks off a to-do item, it's gone.
