Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for enhancing user interaction with an interface are described. In one aspect, a method includes displaying a keyboard layer of a user interface that includes a keyboard having at least one user interface element configured to receive a user input. An initial input at a given user interface element is detected. In response to detecting the initial interaction, a first portion of a symbol layer of the user interface is revealed while maintaining display of the keyboard layer of the user interface. A subsequent input at the given user interface element is detected. In response to detecting the subsequent input, a larger portion of the symbol layer of the user interface is revealed while maintaining a position of the first portion of the symbol layer that was previously revealed in response to detecting the initial input.

Amplification data is received from a plurality of reaction sites, wherein each reaction site contains a sample. A plurality of amplification curves is generated from the amplification data and a first portion of the plurality of amplification curves is displayed on a display screen. A list of indications of reaction sites associated with the first portion of amplification curves is displayed alongside the first portion of amplification curves on the display screen. Then the view is adjusted to display a second portion of the plurality of amplification curves, and the list is dynamically adjusted to display indications of reaction sites associated with the second portion of amplification curves alongside the second portion of amplification curves on the display screen, wherein the list is configured to be scrollable.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, system, and signal-bearing medium are provided that in an embodiment morph between two graphical views of related content that share a common frame of reference. In an embodiment, the two views depict the same data at different resolutions. The morphing permits the viewer to visualize the relationship between the two views along a common axis or within a common frame of reference. In another embodiment, the two views may be a clip view and a timeline view. In the clip view, icons representing clips are the same size. In the timeline view, icons representing clips have a size proportional to the time of the clip when played. A virtual playhead icon is maintained in the same relative position in both views, so that a user's focus is maintained.
