    Abstract: Some embodiments include a method of operating a gaming system, the method comprising receiving, over one or more networks from a mobile device, a check-in message indicating a physical location external to a wagering game establishment and an identification of a wagering game player account. The method can also include detecting log-in of the wagering game player account on a wagering game machine in the casino, wherein the wagering game machine is configured to present a wagering game and establish a credit balance upon detection of a physical item associated with value. The method can also include in response to detecting the log-in, determining modified game content that includes an attribute associated with the physical location, and transmitting the modified game content over the one or more networks to the wagering game machine to replace wagering game content of the wagering game machine for use in presenting the wagering game.

An uncompressed digital audio file is divided and encoded using an MP3 encoder to produce two encoded files, A and B. The MP3 encoder adds a padding delay at the beginning and end of each file. Two timers are defined: T1=A?(a+b) and T2=B?(d+c), where a is the padding delay at the end of A, b is the delay at the beginning of B, c is the delay at the beginning of A, and d is the delay at the end of B. Simultaneously, a decoder starts to decode A on Track 1 and T1 is started. Immediately after T1 expires, a decoder starts to decode B on Track 2 and T2 is started. Thanks to the timers, the respective end and beginning of the sound portions of A and B temporally align so that no silence is heard.

In one embodiment, the use of markers to denote the state of a music file enables following the continuous music and ending wagering game bang-up audio in whatever key the continuous music is in at the precise moment the bang-up ends. The continuous music, bang-ups and marker file are all started at the same time and may be the same length. The continuous music is audible, the bang-ups are heard by raising the volume when programmatically called for, and the marker file continuously sends out signals at a set rate which the code then interprets to determine the state of the song to trigger the appropriate musical ending. When the bang-up ends it can then be played in the key corresponding to the current state of the music.
