  • Patent number: 12106316
Abstract: A machine for choosing among possible entities is disclosed comprising an electronic device with a display, a user interface and a memory storage storing a table listing predetermined attribute preferences associated with index numbers computed from user rankings. Influencing factors are displayed and partially ranked by the user. The top influencing factors are selected from a first menu and the least important factors chosen in a second menu which is adaptive to the first menu selections. The machine further includes a counting circuit, and an input-output device driver. The input-output device driver transmits the top ranks and the bottom ranks to the counting circuit, which determines the index number corresponding to the mapping of the top ranks and the bottom ranks. The memory storage unit retrieves the predetermined entity ranking associated with the mapping, derived from experts in the field, opinions of consumers, and machine learning, and displays it.

  • Publication number: 20140284233
Abstract: A part packaging system and method includes a package blank formed as a single sheet of foldable material having fold lines disposed thereon and cutout portions defined therein for enabling the package blank to be folded into a configuration of an enclosed package. The system further includes a jig configured to complementarily receive the package blank and facilitate folding of the package blank into the enclosed package. The jig includes contact portions that correspond to the fold lines of the package blank such that pressure applied to the package blank when received in the jig causes the package blank to fold along the fold lines toward the configuration of the enclosed package.

  • Patent number: 8240473
Abstract: A headliner packaging may be configured to package a headliner having a surface and a width. The system may include one or more elongated clamps. Each elongated clamp may be configured to releasable secure the headliner by applying clamping force to an area on the surface of the headliner. Each elongated clamp may have a length that exceeds the width of the headliner. Each elongated clamp may have a hinge on one end of the elongated clamp which is configured to allow the elongated clamp to rotatably swing into an open position to receive the headliner and to rotatably swing into a closed position to lock the headliner securely within the elongated clamp. The packaging system may be configured to package an article other than a headliner.

  • Publication number: 20100155283
Abstract: A headliner packaging system may be configured to package a headliner that has a non-planer surface and a width. The system may include one or more elongated clamps. Each elongated clamp may have a length that exceeds the width of the headliner. Each elongated clamp may be configured to releasable secure the headliner by applying clamping force to an area of the non-planer surface of the headliner in a manner that causes the elongated clamping force to be substantially uniform throughout the area of the non-planer surface of the headliner and in a direction that is not substantially perpendicular to the length of the elongated clamp. The packaging system may be configured to package an article other than a headliner.

  • Publication number: 20100155286
Abstract: A headliner packaging system packages a headliner that has a surface and a width and includes one or more elongated clamps. Each elongated clamp releasably secures the headliner by applying clamping force to an area on the surface of the headliner. Each elongated clamp may have a quick release mechanism that is configured to have a release position that releases the elongated clamp to receive the headliner and a lock position that locks the headliner securely within the elongated clamp. The quick release mechanism may be configured to quickly move between the release and lock positions in response to a single, non-repetitious movement of the quick release mechanism. The carton may have a port in the walls that aligns with each release mechanism that is sized so as to permit a person to reach through the port and move each release mechanism between the release and lock positions. The packaging system may be configured to package an article other than a headliner.
