  • Publication number: 20240082612
Abstract: A firefighting vehicle includes a chassis that houses an electric drivetrain for driving wheels of the vehicle. A conduit extends within the chassis from back to front for conveying firefighting fluid. Within the chassis, a first motor and a first battery pack are disposed on a first side of the conduit and a second motor and a second battery pack are disposed on a second side of the conduit. The first motor is configured to drive a first wheel on a first side of the vehicle, and the second motor is configured to drive a second wheel on a second side of the vehicle. The conduit is configured to provide firefighting fluid to a monitor mounted at the front of the chassis, where the fluid can be discharged toward a target, such as a fire.

  • Patent number: 11918942
Abstract: A technique facilitates construction of a wire-wrapped screen. A wrapping machine is operated with a sensor, e.g. a camera, positioned adjacent the wrapping machine while wire is wrapped to create the wire-wrapped screen. The sensor is used to obtain data on at least one parameter of the wire-wrapped screen during creation of the wire-wrapped screen. Data is provided to a controller in communication with the wrapping machine to improve the quality of the wire-wrapped screen. For example, data from the images obtained via the camera may be provided to the controller which is configured to determine slot width as the wire is wrapped. The controller is then able to provide feedback in real time to the wrapping machine so as to adjust the wrapping machine for maintaining a desired slot width.

  • Publication number: 20240065490
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and tools for customizing shower panels to accommodate a variety of shapes and sizes of shower bases, where such methods and tools reduce installation steps. One exemplary method includes steps of using tools to trim a back shower panel, a first side shower panel, and a second side shower panel to conform to the contours of the top edges of a shower base. An exemplary assembly of tools used to perform described methods includes a plurality of contour gauge tools and a drain center groove. Each contour gauge tool includes a contoured edge, a slot formed through the contour gauge tool, and indicia formed on a surface of the contour gauge tool. The drain center tool includes a first groove, second groove intersecting the first groove and perpendicular to the first groove, and a tab extending upward of the top surface of the drain center tool.

  • Patent number: 11865647
Abstract: A method for repairing a composite structure is provided. A rework zone is defined on the composite structure. A theoretical scarfing bottom surface is identified for the rework zone from a model of the composite structure. An actual scarfing bottom surface in a local axis system is identified for the rework zone. Parameters for a rework program for an automated scarfing tool are modified based on deviations between the theoretical scarfing bottom surface and the actual scarfing bottom surface. Plies in the rework zone are removed using the automated scarfing tool.

  • Publication number: 20230143113
Abstract: In some embodiments, a multifunction device with a display and a touch-sensitive surface creates a plurality of workspace views. A respective workspace view is configured to contain content assigned by a user to the respective workspace view. The content includes application windows. The device displays a first workspace view in the plurality of workspace views on the display without displaying other workspace views in the plurality of workspace views and detects a first multifinger gesture on the touch-sensitive surface. In response to detecting the first multifinger gesture on the touch-sensitive surface, the device replaces display of the first workspace view with concurrent display of the plurality of workspace views.

  • Publication number: 20220317846
Abstract: A computing device with a touch screen display simultaneously displays on the touch screen display a plurality of user interface objects and at least one destination object. The computing device detects a first input by a user on a destination object displayed on the touch screen display. While continuing to detect the first input by the user on the destination object, the computing device detects a second input by the user on a first user interface object displayed on the touch screen display. In response to detecting the second input by the user on the first user interface object, the computing device performs an action on the first user interface object. The action is associated with the destination object.

  • Publication number: 20220261131
Abstract: An electronic device detects a contact on a touch-sensitive surface of the electronic device, including a first portion of a gesture made with the contact, a second portion of the gesture that follows the first portion, and lift-off of the contact from the touch-sensitive surface during or after the second portion of the gesture. In response to detecting the second portion of the gesture, if a modifier input was detected while detecting the first portion of the gesture made with the contact, the electronic device performs a first operation and generates a first tactile output on the touch-sensitive surface. If the modifier input was not detected while detecting the first portion of the gesture, the electronic device performs a second operation different from the first operation and generates a second tactile output on the touch-sensitive surface, wherein the second tactile output is different from the first tactile output.

  • Patent number: 11010027
Abstract: An electronic device with a touch-sensitive surface, a display, and one or more sensors to detect intensity of contacts with the touch-sensitive surface displays a plurality of words, which include a misspelled word. While a focus selector is at a location corresponding to the misspelled word, the device detects a gesture that includes a contact on the touch-sensitive surface. In response, the device, in accordance with a determination that the contact meets predefined intensity criteria, corrects the misspelled word; and in accordance with a determination that the contact did not meet the predefined intensity criteria, displays a user interface for interacting with the misspelled word within the plurality of words on the display.

  • Patent number: 10996788
Abstract: An electronic device displays, on a display, a user interface that includes one or more user interface objects. The device detects a first input on the touch-sensitive surface at a location that corresponds to a first user interface object of the one or more user interface objects. Detecting the first input includes detecting a change in intensity of the first input on the touch-sensitive surface from a first intensity to a second intensity, different from the first intensity. In response to detecting the first input, the device obtains a change in a value of a respective simulated physical property that changes in response to changes in intensity of the first input on the touch-sensitive surface, and updates an appearance of the user interface by progressing a first animation between a first state and a second state based on the change in the value of the respective simulated physical property.

  • Patent number: 10908808
Abstract: An electronic device, with a touch-sensitive surface and a display, includes one or more sensors to detect intensity of contacts with the touch-sensitive surface. The device detects a contact on the touch-sensitive surface while a focus selector corresponding to the contact is at a respective location on the display associated with additional information not initially displayed on the display. While the focus selector is at the respective location, upon determining that the contact has an intensity above a respective intensity threshold before a predefined delay time has elapsed with the focus selector at the respective location, the device displays the additional information associated with the respective location without waiting until the predefined delay time has elapsed; and upon determining that the contact has an intensity below the respective intensity threshold, the device waits until the predefined delay time has elapsed to display the additional information associated with the respective location.
