  • Publication number: 20070276407
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for controlling corporeal structures, especially for introducing puncture needles or operation probes. Said device comprises a base plate (1), at least one base holder (2) applied to the base plate (1), and holding rods (3, 4) that are fixed to the base holder in a fixed manner and are used to hold and position a targeting device (10) for a medical instrument (8). The aim of the invention is to create one such device in such a way that it has a simple structure and can guide medical instruments in a variable and precise manner. To this end, the targeting device (10) is mounted on two adjustment arms (7) that can be respectively displaced in the X and/or Y plane, on the free ends of the holding rods (3, 4), by means of an actuating drive (6).

  • Publication number: 20050063510
Abstract: The invention relates to a radiotherapy system for directing a treatment beam onto an isocenter (14) in a patient (13), especially for tumor treatment in radiotherapy. Said radiotherapy system comprises a base (15) on which the patient (13) rest$ and a radiation device, more particularly, a lincar accelerator (1) that generates a treatment beam (12). According to the invention, the direction of the treatment beam (12) can be regulated by means of a hexapode (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10).

  • Publication number: 20030189663
Abstract: A solid-state video camera is equipped with pixel addition logic such that, if the measured object brightness falls below a certain threshold value, a brightening of the image is effected without increasing the noise component accepting a loss in real-time representation. The pixel addition by way of the pixel addition logic is coupled to the gain control of the camera in a manner such that, in each case, the gain control compensates for jumps in brightness which arise by way of the pixel addition and creates for the user a flowing transition without noticeable jumps in brightness.

  • Patent number: 6530941
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and method for fixing, compressing or shaping a body, or parts of the body, in particular the human body. The inventive device has a bearing surface (1) for the body, and at least one external element (2) which can be freely positioned on the bearing surface (1). The external element (2) and the bearing surface (1) together form a low-pressure chamber (6) which surrounds the body. The device also has at least one suction opening (3) which is connected to the low-pressure chamber (6).

  • Patent number: 6013087
Abstract: An image-guided surgery system includes an alignment device (1) which measures the direction of a target position (2) with respect to a starting position (4). Subsequently, the alignment device (1) places one end of the surgical instrument (3) in the starting position and rotates the surgical instrument in such a manner that it is oriented along the measured direction. It is ensured that the end meanwhile remains in the starting position. The image-guided surgery system includes a system of arms (7), one end of which is provided with an alignment member (5) for supporting the surgical instrument. The alignment member is preferably a sphere provided with an opening (6) in which the surgical instrument fits.

  • Patent number: 5926213
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for correcting the tone of color pictures recorded by a video camera, in particular an endoscope camera. A control device, which may also be part of a digital video camera, comprises a memory for storing a table which indicates a characteristic adjusting curve for tone correction values. The control device may further comprise an interface for inputting one or more characteristic adjusting curves according to the field of application of the device according to the invention. A simple rotary transducer which is connected via a lead to a control device serves as the input medium for the tone correction. After activating an automatic white balancing by way of a key connected to the control device, the correction values lies at the white point. The white point is always located on the adjusting curve and serves as a starting point.

  • Patent number: 5867284
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for correcting the tone of color pictures recorded by a video camera, in particular an endoscope camera. A control device works in combination with a preferably triangular keyboard so that a free tone correction of the three ground colors of the video picture may be effected independently of the color temperature of the recorded object, i.e. in particular, independently of the light source employed. The switching surface is in the form of a surface PAD keyboard which allows the evaluation of the location of a finger tip or likewise at any position on the triangle, and thus represents a very effective input medium for the tone correction according to the invention. A similarly provided automatic white balancing function permits the white point of the camera color space to lie in the surface center of the surface PAD keyboard.

  • Patent number: 5570129
Abstract: The color quality of a received color picture signal is detected by a device for measuring the intensity of at least the red component and the green component of the picture signal. A microprocessor determines a correction value for the white balance correction on the basis of the detected color quality and corresponding to selectable correction values, stored in a memory, for each color component. The method and apparatus permit an application specific correction of the white balance, particularly for use in endoscopic systems, such as video endoscopes and endoscope cameras, to be used in different body organs which cause different color shifts.

  • Patent number: 5430476
Abstract: A device has a light source apparatus, which, as required, feeds white continuous light or sequential colored light by means of a filter device having several color surface regions and two filter discs which can be rotary driven, into a particular endoscope. One filter disc is provided with the color segments red, green and white and the other filter disc is provided with the color segments blue and white to achieve a simplified and structurally compact light source apparatus, both filter discs being arranged to be rotatable on a common rotary axis and adjustable relative to one another and fixable such that the white color segment of one filter disc covers the blue color segment of the other filter disc in a first operating position of the filter discs, and the white color segment of one filter disc is aligned to be axis-parallel with the white color segment of the other filter disc in a second operating position of the filter discs.

  • Patent number: 4974936
Abstract: In a device for supplying light to endoscopes, in particular video endscopes, the light is passed from a light source by way of a revolving filter plate with areas of primary colors, and a runner wheel, to a photoconductor of the endoscope, for illuminating an object to be examined, the colored image of which is passed to the video endoscope. The runner wheel rotates faster than the filter plate so that the beam of light on passing each transition from one colored area of the filter plate to another is covered by an opaque region of the runner wheel.
