  • Patent number: 6528125
Abstract: A corrosion resistant tube comprises a metal tube having an outer surface. A zinc layer is electrostatically bonded to the outer surface, wherein the zinc layer is selected from the group consisting of powdered zinc, powdered zinc nickel alloys, powdered zinc cobalt alloys, and powdered zinc aluminum alloys. One or more polymeric layers may be electrostatically bonded to the zinc layer, or to a surface treatment layer, wherein the polymeric layer(s) comprises powdered thermoplastic materials selected from the group consisting of powdered nylons, powdered fluoropolymers, powdered polyesters, and mixtures thereof. Optionally, the polymeric layer(s) may be electrostatically bonded directly to the outer surface.

  • Patent number: 6071078
Abstract: A ring bracket-shroud mounting assembly for an car engine cooling system includes a bracket for enclosing and supporting fan blades and motor, and a shroud with a mounting seat for supporting the bracket. The bracket has at least one active lock coupler, and a shroud has at least one passive lock coupler. Each active lock coupler includes an overhanging means and each passive lock coupler includes a catch. The overhanging apparatus and catch are adapted to matingly engage and retain the ring bracket to the shroud when the overhanging apparatus and catch are placed adjacent to each other and the ring bracket is rotated relative to the shroud to a locking position to have the overhanging apparatus combined with the catch.

  • Patent number: 5735171
Abstract: A pivot joint includes a housing surrounding a rotatable shaft. A retainer clip frictionally engages the shaft and seats against one end of the housing to fixedly axially position the rotatable shaft and the housing with respect to each other and to a rotatable lever connected to one end of the rotatable shaft. In one embodiment, the rotatable shaft is hardened and the retainer clip is hardened to a higher hardness than the hardness of the rotatable shaft. In another embodiment, a pair of retainer clips frictionally engage opposite ends of the rotatable shaft and seat against the rotatable lever and one end of the housing to form a fixed dimensional relationship between the housing, the rotatable shaft and the lever. The retainer clip may include notches formed on the edge of a frusto-conical annulus surrounding a central aperture in the retainer clip to form a discontinuous shaft engaging surface.
