  • Patent number: 11966742
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses relating to instructions to reset software thread runtime property histories in a hardware processor are described. In one embodiment, a hardware processor includes a hardware guide scheduler comprising a plurality of software thread runtime property histories; a decoder to decode a single instruction into a decoded single instruction, the single instruction having a field that identifies a model-specific register; and an execution circuit to execute the decoded single instruction to check that an enable bit of the model-specific register is set, and when the enable bit is set, to reset the plurality of software thread runtime property histories of the hardware guide scheduler.

  • Patent number: 4355763
Abstract: A method of metering and spraying toxic pesticide comprising a vacuum line having a first end attached to a vacuum source, such as an intake manifold on an internal combustion engine, and having a second end communicating with the inside of a metering chamber. A float valve in the metering chamber on the second end of the vacuum line to close the vacuum line or in a vent passage to the metering chamber is adjustable in the metering chamber to control the level to which liquid is drawn into the metering chamber. A pesticide transfer line is connected from the metering chamber to a source of liquid pesticide positioned at a level below the metering chamber such that a vacuum in the metering chamber will draw pesticide from the pesticide source through the pesticide transfer line into the metering chamber. When the surface of the liquid reaches the float valve flow of liquid through the liquid transfer line to the metering chamber is terminated.

  • Patent number: 4202469
Abstract: A blade holder and nozzle assembly connectable to a flexible container closure element such that when the blade holder and nozzle assembly is connected to the flexible closure a circular opening is formed in the flexible closure and surfaces on the blade holder and nozzle assembly and on the flexible closure are urged into sealing relation. The assembly comprises a hollow, tubular body having a shoulder extending around the interior thereof dividing the interior of the body into a threaded bore in the lower end of the body and a nozzle in the upper end of the body. A single cutting blade having a pointed end and a single cutting edge is secured to the shoulder and extends into the threaded bore such that as the body is threadedly secured to a flexible closure element, the cutting blade pierces the upper surface of the closure element and as the body is rotated the blade cuts a circular opening in the upper end of the closure element.

  • Patent number: 4186783
Abstract: A pressurizable container adapted to spray liquids such as chemical pesticides onto a surface in combination with apparatus to inject a pre-measured quantity of chemical into the container. The injection apparatus comprises a tubular body detachably connected to the container, a cartridge containing a measured quantity of liquid chemical positioned in the tubular body, and a plunger movable through the tubular body to force the liquid chemical from the cartridge. The cartridge contains a piston at one end to be acted on by the plunger arranged to force the premeasured liquid through a valve at the other end into the container.

  • Patent number: 4074426
Abstract: A threaded blade holder for cutting an opening in a flexible externally threaded closure element on a pail or container. The holder comprises a hollow internally threaded tubular body. A retaining member, comprising a pointed spike, is slideably disposed in a central aperture in the top of the tubular body to perforate the closure element and to relieve internal pressure in the pail through space between loosely fitting threads on the blade holder and the closure element. A pointed cutting blade, having a single cutting edge, extends downwardly from the top of the tubular body such that rotation of the tubular body onto the externally threaded closure element of the pail causes the blade to engage the upper surface of the closure element to cut a circular hole therein. However, the blade does not cut into material adjacent the periphery of the hole when the tubular element is removed from the externally threaded closure element.

  • Patent number: 3995667
Abstract: Liquid handling apparatus adapted for transferring a measured quantity of toxic liquid pesticide from a storage container into a tubular body and for transferring the toxic liquid pesticide from the tubular body into a pressurizable container. The storage container, the tubular body, and the pressurizable container each has an inwardly opening check valve in an opening communicating with the interior thereof. Each check valve has a stem extending outwardly therefrom. The stem on the check valve communicating with the interior of the storage container is positionable in abutting relation with the stem on the check valve communicating with the interior of the tubular body for opening the respective valves to permit transfer of liquid from the storage container into the tubular body.

  • Patent number: 3970121
Abstract: A pressurizable container adapted to spray liquids such as chemical pesticides onto a surface in combination with apparatus to inject a pre-measured quantity of chemical into the container. The injection apparatus comprises a valve secured to the container, a tubular body containing a measured quantity of liquid chemical positioned in sealing relation to the valve, and dispensing apparatus to force the liquid chemical from the tubular body through the valve and into the container. In one embodiment of the apparatus the tubular body comprises a flexible tube. In the second embodiment of the apparatus the tubular body comprises a syringe.
