  • Patent number: 11931608
Abstract: A system for dispensing flame retardant foam on the exterior of a structure. The structure has an opening that enables distribution of flame retardant foam onto the roof. The system includes a foam distribution system having a foam expansion chamber and a roof plenum for delivery through the roof opening. Foam solution and compressed air are combined in a conduit and supplied to the foam expansion chamber. The structure may have at least one wall. In that case, the system may have a wall plenum for delivery of flame retardant foam from the foam expansion chamber through a first wall-associated opening. Each such wall will have an opening associated with the wall that enables distribution of flame retardant foam onto that wall.

  • Patent number: 9237361
Abstract: A method for recording linear content and delivering it for time-shifted viewing is described. The linear content may be recorded live by the content delivery system in response to user requests. The content delivery system divides the recording into at least two portions, the first portion of sufficient duration to permit real time continuous playback of the recorded content on the customer premises equipment (CPE) if the first portion has previously been transmitted to the CPE and the second has not been transmitted. The content delivery system transmits the first portion to the CPE prior to playback, and the second portion is streamed to the CPE after playback has begun. The playback is under control of the CPE from local storage.

  • Patent number: 8296438
Abstract: Provided is a method for assigning a domain host configuration protocol (DHCP) server from a list of available DHCP servers based upon user selected criteria. When a network router receives a request for an IP address from a computer, or “client,” connected to a network, the request is analyzed for information related to both the client and the available DHCP servers. The analysis may be based upon a number of factors such as the number of previous requests to a particular DHCP server and the proximity of the servers to the computer requesting the IP address. Once the router determines an appropriate DHCP server for a particular IP address request, the client request is forwarded to that DHCP server. The process is completely transparent to both the requesting client and to the selected DHCP server.
